Evaluation of formal correctness and risky behavior content on the site pedagogical-psychological counseling centers in the Czech Republic in 2016

Since information technology is today one of the main tools for obtaining information, it is necessary to address the quality of internet presentations. The aim of the research is to evaluate the formal and content levels of the websites of pedagogical and psychological counseling through research and content analysis. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on professional literature, both Czech and foreign experts. It deals with risk behavior from the point of view of addictology, pedagogical- psychological counseling, its purpose and position in the education system. Practical part deals with practical research, which was realized by questionnaire survey. Within the stated objectives, it was found that all PPPs in the Czech Republic use a website for their presentation. Their quality is generally very variable and even the most successful ones have not reached 70% of the possible points....

Efficacy and treatment adherence to therapy of chronic HCV infection in people who inject drugs

Backgrounds: Intravenous drug use represents the main route of transmission of hepatitis C virus infection (HCV). IVDU represent approximately 75-100% of newly diagnosed cases of HCV. IVDU have traditionally been considered as difficult-to-treat, owing to a low treatment adherence. The presumed low adherence to care in IVDU represent nowadays the barrier to therapy with direct-acting antivirals (DAA). Aims: The aim of the thesis was to assess efficacy of therapy of HCV with DAA and adherence to therapy in patients with history of IVDU. Comparing the results with the group of patients without IVDU, we would support the fact that the treatment efficacy in the IVDU group is high and that the utilisation of financial resources is effective. Methods: All consecutive patients who started DAA anti-HCV therapy at the Department of Hepatogastroenterology of Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine from 1st January 2017 to 6th August 2018 were included. The patients were divided into two groups: individuals with history of IVDU (IVDU, N = 101) and control group (Controls, N = 177), without IVDU in the past. Comparison of adherence and outcome of antiviral therapy of viral hepatitis C in drug users and non-users

3456 ABSTRACT: Background: VHC is a widespread serious chronic infectious disease. Most of the patients affected by the disease consist of IDUs. Treatment of VHC is now perceived as an important preventive element for the spread of the disease in IDUs population. Adherence to treatment is absolutely crucial for the successful completion of treatment. Adherence to treatment is often questioned by clinicians who treat VHC in patients using addictive substances. Objectives: To compare the efficacy of treatment of VHC in patients with a history of drug in patients without a history of drug, to compare treatment adherence among patients without a drug history and patients with drug history, to map out the factors affecting adherence to treatment and to find a place in the therapeutic team for expertise of addictologist. Material and Methods: Data from documentation of 258 patients that were treated in 2006- 2015 for viral hepatitis C at the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University Hospital Brno have been processed with using the statistical and analytical methods and in compliance with ethical rules retrospectively.
