Musical Fairytale Lotrando and Zubejda in Music education

The thesis The musical fairy tale Lotrando and Zubejda in music education presents the mentioned musical fairy tale and its use in music education. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly points out the origin and genesis of the fairy tales. It deals more closely with the definition of the fairy tale as a literary and musical-dramatic genre and outlines the influence of this phenomenon on the psychological development of the child. In this context, the thesis focuses on the period of younger school age, which it characterizes not only in terms of social and emotional development, but above all in terms of musical development. In the practical part of the thesis, examples of activities for music education lessons are given, which are inspired by the film musical fairy tale Lotrando and Zubejda. These activities were carried out with pupils of the 3rd year of the T. G. Masaryk Primary School in Milevsko and recorded in the form of preparations for the lesson. The practical part resulted in model examples and several methodological sheets that can serve as inspiration for working with the musical fairy tale in the educational process. Studijní program: Učitelství pro 1.st ZŠ, specializace Hv Studijní obor: Učitelství pro 1.st ZŠ 2024 ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the motivation of children to play a musical instrument due to cultural impact of the Kolet's mining music orchestra coming from Jestřebí mountains region. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to the history of Kolet's mining music from its beginning to present, to musical events that took place under the leadership of various conductors of the orchestra. I am also focusing on persons thanks to whom Kolet's mining music was maintained and most significant events took place. These are Kolets brothers and Zdeněk Tlučhoř. Second part is focused on obtaining data on the motivation of pupils from ZŠ Velké Svatoňovice, Malé Svatoňovice, Batňovice, Úpice a Rtyně v Podkrkonoší and pupils from ZUŠ Úpice a Rtyně v Podkrkonoší. A research survey will also be conducted with the members of the Kolet's mining music, which will serve to obtain data about their own motivation for music. The thesis aims at a critical judgement of opinions on the importance o into the music activites integration educational subjects of Primary School. The theoretical part introduces the organization of the integrated education, summarizes the existing knowledge of the music activities impact on the child's personality development on the side of scientific literature and other relevant sources, it exalts the outcomes of works focusing on music integration into the Primary School education. The practical part researches the integration of music activites into the educational subjects of Primary School, compares the impact of the regular education and the specialised music-oriented education, and based on a questionnaire survey and personal observation, it evaluates the effect of such education from the perspective of the pupils, their parents and their teachers.

The Hurdy Gurdy Lesson at Art School

The thesis focuses on playing the hurdy gurdy and materials dealing with this theme. The work first presents the historical background of this musical instrument, its development, mechanics and possibilities of the instrument. Furthermore, it processes and compares the literature available for players dealing with the topic of playing the hurdy gurdy. The main content of the work is the creation of methodical material for playing the hurdy gurdy suitable as an aid for teaching in the Art school environment, as well as study material for self-taught students. This material contains the necessary information that a player needs to know during the beginnings of the hurdy gurdy playing, i.e., information starting with the functions of the individual parts of the instrument, through the adjustment and maintenance of the instrument to the explanation of the playing the instrument itself separately for the right- and left-hand technique. It also includes sheet music with a repertoire of widely played pieces on the hurdy gurdy. The benefit of the methodology is also the Czech language in which it is written, which can supplement the necessary, but currently missing information about playing this instrument in the Czech environment. Formative evaluation and its use in music pedagogical practice at the first stage of elementary school

The diploma thesis deals with formative evaluation in music lessons at the first stage of elementary schools. The theoretical part defines the concept of evaluation of pupils at the first stage of elementary schools and various types of evaluation. Further deals with music psychology, musical abilities and skills. One chapter is devoted to the analysis of the Rámcový vzdělavací program základního vzděláván in terms of the required outcomes in music education. The theoretical part is concluded by the definition of formative evaluation and evaluation in music education. The practical part of the work consists of a questionnaire examining formative evaluation in music education at the first stage of elementary schools. The questionnaire finds out in what form the formative evaluation is performed and how often. Whether schools use it for evaluation in music education and how their formative evaluation corresponds to the outputs of the RVP ZV in music education. Absolute Pitch: Theoretical Concept and Practical Issues

The thesis aims at complex assessment of absolute pitch both theoretically and practically. It describes the functioning of ear and main issues related to processing of sound and tone height. In addition, it clarifies related terms stemming from musical psychology. Especially, it endeavours to identify causes of absolute pitch and factors which form it. The thesis surveys several phenomena connected with absolute pitch, for example with synesthesia, and with other aspects such as occurrence of absolute pitch among population. It uses not only the Czech but especially English written literature which has not yet been used in such a scope in the Czech musical research.
