Complex Linguistic Analysis of Jáchym Topol's novel Sestra
Tlamicha, Miloslav ; Janovec, Ladislav (advisor) ; Šmejkalová, Martina (referee)
The thesis deals with the analysis of individual linguistic levels of Topol's novel Sestra. The distinctive features appear above all on the level of phonology, where there is a wide scale of possible variations, rooting from both formal and informal spheres of Czech. What is also significant is the level of lexicology, since Topol tends to use not only Czech lexemes, but also his own neologisms as well as words from other languages. The variety of the hypersyntactic level is strongly influenced by the narrative situation, which is based on multiple narrators and recipients. The individual linguistic actualisations are of great importance for of the overall end of the text.
