The climate of schoools in socially excluded and non-excluded localities

The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the climate of schools in socially excluded and non-excluded locations. This is a very relevant topic these days, so it's important to search more about it. Theoretical part of thesis, is focused on the definition of the basic areas of the monitored issue, with an emphasis on the climate of the school classroom and individual selected actors of this school life. The practical part examines the climate of schools from excluded and non-excluded locations. The research is conducted on the basis of a set of Klima školy questionnaires (Grecmanová et al., 2012) for teachers and pupils. The respondents are elementary school students, specifically the second grade of elementary school. The aim of the work is to find out, analyze and compare the differences in the evaluation of selected areas of school climate in these locations by pupils and teachers. The total number of pupils in individual schools is 592, with 273 pupils from excluded locations and 319 pupils from non-excluded locations. The results found in the questionnaire for pupils are subsequently compared with the evaluation of the intersectional items of the questionnaire for teachers. Investigation of cognitive abelities in children in substitute educational care facilities The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the topic of cognitive abilities in children in school facilities for the performance of institutional and protective education. The theoretical part deals with the issue of institutional education and the area of cognitive functions in relation to the selected group of respondents. The practical part consists of the results of the verbal battery of the standardized Test of Cognitive Abilities - TKS (Thorndike & Hagen, 1998). The verbal battery of this test focuses and classifies vocabulary, the ability to construct sentences, emphasizes children's ability to think in words and phrases, and use words in a given context. The aim of the research investigation is to determine, find and compare differences in the mentioned area of cognitive abilities in selected groups of respondents aged 12 - 18 years. Part of the thesis is a discussion of the established facts, the formulation of more generally valid conclusions and recommendations for the practice of special education.
Support of self-regulation throughtprogram of socio-emotional learning at elementary

Stress has been a part of humanity since its origin, nevertheless, due to the recent pandemic the interest in this topic has dramatically increased. The theoretical part of the thesis "Support of self-regulation through a program of socio-emotional learning at elementary school" gives an introduction to brain functions and stress. A strong emphasis is put on methods about how to reduce stress and preventive programs focused on well-being in schools. The theoretical part also includes a chapter dealing with trauma that can be caused by severe negative stress experiences in childhood or adulthood. The thesis aims to determine whether the use of the RRRR methodology contributes to the improvement of the child's stress management strategies. A mixed design, i.e., a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, was chosen to meet the objectives of this thesis. Action research was chosen as the main method and was conducted in a 6th grade of primary school. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the development of diagnostics of morally defective youth used at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in correctional institutions. The diagnosis of morally defective youth was closely related to the issue of correction and re-education of these persons. The very consequences of behavioral disorders have always had a serious impact on socielity itself. By establishing correctional facilities and the subsequent diagnosis of the inmates, the compeny accepted responsibility for the re-education of these persons. The diploma thesis has a comparative character with the aim of identifyng common or, on the contrary, different features in the diagnosis of youth. The theoretical part defines diagnostics in etopedic practice as we know it today. The classifications of behavioral disorders used today and at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries are described here. Applying Functional Behavioral Assessment at Kindergarten for Children with Communication Disorder

The diploma thesis is specially pedagogical and deals with the possibilities of applying functional behavioral assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The theoretical part describes the given issue of communication disorder and the development of the child's social-emotional skills. The theoretical part also describes the problem behavior and the concept of functional behavior assessment. The practical part deals with four case studies of preschool children with repetitive problem behavior. The purpose of the qualitative research is to verify the applying functional behavior assessment at kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The main research question of the diploma thesis is to find the possibilities of using the principles of functional behavioral assessment in the chosen kindergarten for children with communication disorder. The research investigates which the behavior of children considered by the pedagogical staff of the selected kindergarten to be problem behavior.
