Basal Stimulation in Occupation Therapy

Name of thesis: Basal stimulation in occupational therapy Aim: The aim of my thesis is to study the existing literature and find out, if there is any evidence, which can prove the effectivity of basal stimulation. Method: In theoretical part I focus on resources, which evaluate effectivity of basal stimulation. In the practical part I work with two patients. I have obtained the detailed information about patients by observation, consulting the documentation and interviewing with the patients' families. At the Clinic of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine I have worked on the casuistries under the leadership of the therapist Ms. Dvořáková. Result: Based on studying of the literature, I have found that the result of the research is especially the positive attitude of patients, but there is no proof that would confirm the effectivity of basal stimulation.
