Methods and approaches used in working with clients in low-threshold facilities for children and youth

The thesis deals with the definition of basic terms and outline risk behavior in adolescents. A large part of the thesis is devoted to map the methods and approaches of social work used when working with a client in a low-threshold facility. The aim of the thesis is to find out what methods and approaches are used when working with a client in a low-threshold facility. In the practical part, an expert survey was carried out addressing workers in social services and social workers working in low-threshold facilities in the South Bohemian Region.

Canistherapy in seniors

The diploma thesis Canistherapy in seniors discusses the utilisation and benefits of canistherapy for elderly clients. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the target group of seniors, their needs, issues and types of facilities available to them. Furthermore, the discipline of canistherapy is generically described, as well as its methods, techniques and the role of canistherapy dog in this form of therapy. The practical part of the thesis interprets the data obtained through several research methods which are applied in order to examine the senior age client's perception of canistherapy, explore the availability of canistherapy in retirement homes, map the canistherapy teams target groups and present the retirement homes staff opinions on canistherapy and its effects. The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe canistherapy in relation to elderly care and to specifically depict its methods, ways of its provision, techniques and activities associated with it. An empirical research was thus made to answer the main research question: What are the benefits of canistherapy for seniors?

Nursing Care of Seniors in Intensive Care Unit-ICU and Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation Unit-ARU

General nurses in their proffesion provide nursing care to patients of different age groups. Quite frequently represented group are seniors. This fact is due to the increase in life expectancy, medical advances and polymorbidity of seniors, which is often the cause of their hospitalization. Nursing care for seniors is particularly challenging due to the occurence of many geriatric symptoms, restriction of cognitive functions and inabillity to self care. Much more difficult situation occurs, if the state of geriatric patient requires care in ARO (Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation) or ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Identification of problem areas in intensive nursing care for seniors leads to infer the possible measures for practice. In terms of this thesis quantitative research was carried out using a questionnaire survey. Research group consisted of general nurses from departments of intensive care, thus professional intesive care units (ICU) and department of anesthesiology and resuscitation. Out of the total number of 120 distributed questionnaires (100 %) returned 94 usable questionnaires (78,33 %). Realization of research survey was conducted in February 2012. Rational numbers for the future teachers on primary school

This thesis presents comprehensive study material relating the subject of rational numbers for students trained to be teachers at primary school. I am mainly concentrating on qualities of racional numbers and their methodology in the theoretic part. I am checking the level of school knowledge in the subject of racional numbers in the operative part. I was concentrated on pupils at 2nd and 4th classes of Primary School in Choustník and on students of the pedagogical faculty at South Bohemia University in České Budějovice. Task collection for students trained to be teachers at primary school and also for teachers in profession is part of my thesis.

Development potential of town Votice in term of tourism

The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the current development potential in tourism of the Votice town and then propose possible measures and initiatives to improve the utilization of this potential. First it was made an situation analysis of the town and its neighbourhood. It was found the main characteristics of this area (for example geographic, economic or demographic characteristics) including analysis of the services. Then it was conducted some interviews with the important persons. It was proposed several possible projects to improve the current situation. It´s really important, that here the principles of partnership work. Votice as a member of Mikroregion Džbány should cooperate with the other communities and companies. The other problem is a little awareness of local people about the new projects.

Analyse of services of Tourism in Podblanicko

Tourism region Podblanicko is an interesting place and it can offer many attractivities of tourism for the visitors. It was investigated on the basis of an analysis of this region. It was made an analysis of Tourism services (accommodation-, catering- and transport services) in this region. Some visitors of this region were questioned (250 respondents). There is a good quality and capacity of accommodations, but the most of tourists use acommodation by their relatives or by friends. They don{\crq}t prefer hotels or pensions. Many of visitors don{\crq}t use any accommodations service {--} they are spending only one day in the region. It{\crq}s necessary to present this region completely with all tourism targets. It can bring more money for a progress of the destination Podblanicko.
