Video database for face feature recognition

This work compares face databases freely accessible on the Internet which are suitable for the testing of developed algorithms for facial features recognition in a picture. In the course of the work’s project a new face video database was created, encompassing a total of 51 samples. The video database includes a simple application suitable for searching through its contents. In order to limit the size of the video database, compression of individual picture samples was conducted. The created video database can be implemented for testing algorithms for facial features recognition (e.g. face detection in a video, identification of a person, detection of eye blinking, speech recognition).

Location tracking via GPS

The presented thesis deals with the subject of tracking via GPS and focuses on possibilities of the practical implementation of user tracking system with the help of mobile end user devices. The introductory theoretical part shortly describes the properties and history of the GPS navigation system. It outlines possible development of end user mobile applications on the level of operating systems and mobile web applications. The final theoretical part provides a short outline of properties of tacking systems available in the Czech market. The primary aim of the thesis was to create an application which would enable the tracking of user position via GPS. The practical part describes the selected solution as well as the individual parts of the designed tracking system. The resulting system allows to record and track user position determined by a mobile phone with an integrated GPS module. The systems also enables the creation of user groups, tracking their routes and visualization of the given position or entire route on a map.

Přímé zahraniční investice a vnější ekonomická rovnováha České republiky

Diplomová práce se zabývá efekty přímých zahraničních investic v české ekonomice a zejména jejich vlivem na vnější ekonomickou rovnováhu České republiky. V první části je definován pojem PZI (přímá zahraniční investice), je zde rovněž popsán základní vztah PZI a základních makroekonomických veličin a jak PZI tvarují vnější ekonomickou rovnováhu. Druhá část se zabývá analýzou dynamiky a struktury PZI do české ekonomiky a konečně v třetí stěžejní části práce je analyzován vliv PZI na vnější ekonomickou rovnováhu. Postupně je analyzována platební bilanci, zejména pak projevy PZI v jejích jednotlivých částech. V závěru práce autor zkoumá možnost spojitosti PZI a vyvolání měnové krize.
