Study of Inertial Particle Separator in a typical turboprop engine
Skála, Adam ; Doupník, Petr (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
This thesis focuses on ingestion of foreign objects into standard turboprop engine GE H80 situated in aircraft Let L-410 Turbolet. Aim of this study is to create methodology of numerical simulation of particle movement inside the engine, which could be used during design process of Inertial Particle Separator device. Thesis consists of backward-facing step benchmark study which validates used methodology. Second part describes flow field calculation and numerical setup. The last part is dedicated to particle tracking analysis. Simulated trajectories are visually investigated, and coordinates of particle impacts at 1st rotor of a compressor are correlated to position of real observed damage.
Structural design of fuselage and tail for racing model
Skála, Adam ; Hájek, Tomáš (referee) ; Pejchar, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis surveys fuselage and empennage improvement of an already existing competition aircraft FabricK. Firstly, the introductory part explains the Air Cargo Challenge contest and describes the model. A research then presents possible empennage designs, which is followed by a brief overview of production F3B aircraft. The practical part of thesis introduces construction project of the empennage and the fuselage as well as a weight distribution analysis. Finally, the concluding part will evaluate the imporvement.

What makes realism real?
Skala, Adam ; NEBESKÝ, Jan (advisor) ; SCHEJBAL, Milan (referee)
The work consists of two parts. The first one focuses on the phenomenon of realism and realist tendencies during the process of creating a stage production. The work explores the evolution of the propensity for realist representation in the course of history. It focuses especially on the modern realism of the German director Thomas Ostermeier. It also tries to examine realism in its social context and define its role in society‘s development. The second part focuses on author‘s personal experience during creation of stage productions mainly, but not entirely, in work done for the university.
