Management's role in supporting occupational health

The aim of this thesis is to explore and qualitatively describe the role of the manager in supporting occupational health. The first chapter of the theoretical part presents the concept of mental health in the workplace. Subsequently JD-R theory is introduced and then integrated into the IGLO model, based on which the individual, group, leader and organizational levels can be used as a classification framework for job demands and resources. A multi-level approach to mental health promotion is then presented. The second chapter highlights the importance of the manager's role in supporting workplace mental health, outlines health-oriented leadership, and manager development opportunities. The aim of the empirical part was to explore, through a qualitative design, how managers promote and conversely undermine mental health in the workplace from the perspective of their subordinates. The research sample consists of ten focus groups with employees, in total 87 people participated, two companies were included. The data was analyzed using the grounded theory method in NVivo. Specific psychological phenomena of social media influencer's impact

The bachelor thesis focuses on specific psychological phenomena of social media influencers. First of all, it presents possible interpretations of the term influencer according to different authors. Secondly, it is concerned with persuasion and linguistic styles that influencers use to attract their followers. Furthermore, attention is given to aspects acting in relation to an influencer on the part of his followers, such as perception of influencer's popularity, the distinction of parasocial interaction, parasocial relationship and identification, as processes that followers experience through the media persona exposure. The final chapter of the theoretical part and the research project's design connects the effect of an influencer promoting a healthy lifestyle and adolescents' eating habits. The quantitative research proposal outlines a possible way to explore the relation between the frequency of social media influencer exposure and the parasocial relationship, as well as the identification of adolescents with the influencer, and subsequently the relationship between the parasocial relationship and the identification with healthy eating habits of adolescents, using the Celebrity-Persona Parasocial Interaction Scale, Celebrity-Persona Identification Scale and Food Frequency Questionnaire research...
