Barbora Homonická Pyšková Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient with rheumatoid arthritis Objectives: The goal of the thesis is to summarize theoretical and methodological basis of rheumatoid arthritis and and to describe their use in the rehabilitation of a patient with this diagnosis. Another aim was to demonstrate the effect of selected physiotherapeutic methods and procedures in practice, to compare them with new trends in the field of rheumatology and to describe the possibilities of influencing the functional state of the patient. Methods: The thesis was prepared on the basis of countinuous professional practice at the Revmatologický ústav in Prague, from 22. 1. to 16. 2. 2024 under the expert guidance of Mgr. Iva Zinková. The thesis is divided into two main sections, a general and a special one. The general section contains an overview of theoretical decription of rheumatoid arthritis and the special part consists of a detailed case report of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis. The theoretical part contains the definition, characteristics, etiology, etiopathogenesis, incidence, clinical picture and classification of the disease. Furthermore, clinical and objectification examinations and treatment and care options for patients with...
Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after osteosynthesis of the radius head and proximal ulna

Author: Michaela Novotná Supervisor: Mgr. Svatava Neuwirthová Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after osteosynthesis of the radius head and proximal ulna Objective: The main aim of my bachelor's thesis was to conduct and then document a case study of a patient after osteosynthesis of the radius head and proximal ulna. Then I compared this practical part with the findings from the theoretical section of the thesis. Methods: All procedures applied in this work are based on the knowledge acquired during the bachelor's degree program in physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Results: Physiotherapeutic care resulted in an improvement in the patient's health condition. Keywords: physiotherapy, ulna, radius, fracture, osteosynthesis
Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after total knee arthroplasty
Němcová, Adéla ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Homonická Pyšková, Barbora (referee)
Author: Adéla Němcová Supervisor: Mgr. Petra Reckziegelová Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after total knee arthroplasty Objectives: The goal of this work was to create a case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after total knee arthroplasty, present facts concerning the theoretical background related to gonatrosis, total knee arthroplasty and description of physiotherapeutic care for such a patient. Methods: In the theoretical part of the thesis, I summarize the facts regarding the basic anatomy of the knee joint and its kinesiology. I present the topic of gonarthrosis, total knee arthroplasty and rehabilitation. A special part of the work includes a case study of a patient, which was carried out at the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital between January and February 2024. At the beginning of the therapy, the patient's medical history was taken and an initial kinesiological examination was carried out, on the basis of which short-term and long-term rehabilitation goals were developed. This was followed by 8 therapeutic units that followed the set goals. The therapy was concluded by performing an exit kinesiology examination and evaluating the effect of the entire therapy. Results: Physiotherapy care given to the patient led to an improvement in his clinical...
Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient with diagnosis of total hip replacement
Šterbák, Daniel ; Homonická Pyšková, Barbora (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
v Abstract Author: Daniel Šterbák Supervisor: Mgr. Barbora Homonická Pyšková Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient with diagnosis of total hip replacement Objective: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the issues of coxarthrosis, hip arthroplasty, specifically total hip replacements, and the care for patients with this diagnosis in the theoretical part. In the practical part, to process a case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after total hip replacement. Methods: In the first general part of the thesis, information about the hip joint, coxarthrosis, hip arthroplasties, and preoperative and postoperative care options are summarized based on literature sources and relevant research articles. The following specific part consists of a case study, which includes an initial kinesiological analysis, therapeutic plans with rehabilitation goals, records of therapeutic units, an output kinesiological analysis, and an evaluation of the performed therapy. Results: The set goals were mostly achieved, as evidenced by the differences between the initial and output kinesiological analyses. It was possible to eliminate, completely or largely, most of the undesirable reflex changes in soft tissues, increase the range of motion and muscle strength of the muscles of right lower...
A case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient diagnosed with cervicobrachial syndrome
Pyšková, Barbora ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Hoskovec, Jakub (referee)
Author: Bc. Barbora Pyšková Thesis title: A case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient diagnosed with cervicobrachial syndrome Thesis goal: The goal of the thesis is to summarize theoretical and methodological basis of the cervicobrachial syndrome and to describe their use in the rehabilitation of a patient with this diagnosis. Methodological approach: The thesis is divided into two main sections, a general and a special one. The general section contains anatomical, biochemical a kinesiological knowledge related to vertebrogenic illnesses. Then, the description of cervicobrachial syndrome, its clinical symptoms, etiology and treatment options are presented. The special part is the core of the thesis. It was prepared on the basis of countinuous professional practice at the Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu in Prague, from January 5 to 30, 2015. It consists of a detailed case report of a patient with cervicobrachial syndrome, offering history, input kinesiology analysis, short-term and long-term physiotherapic plan, the course of therapy, kinesiology exit examination and evaluation of the effect of therapy. Elektromyographic analysis of differences in selected excercises on pommel horse and riding horse
Pyšková, Barbora ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Author: Bc. et Bc. Barbora Pyšková Title: Elektromyographic analysis of differences in selected excercises on pommel horse and riding horse Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to measure the activity of selected muscles, expressed as the percentage value of the maximal voluntary contraction (MVC), during excercises performed by both males and females probands. The effect of treatment (on pommel horse vs riding horse) and proband sex on muscle activity was tested. Methods: Maximal voluntary contraction of each muscle (eight in total) was electromyographically measured in each proband, using the test according to Janda. These values were used as a standard to which the values obtained by excercising on pommel horse and riding horse were related. The values were averages of three repeated measurements. The effect of studied factors was tested by analysis of variance. Results: The tested hypotheses were confirmed. The muscle activity during excercises was statistically significantly affected by the factors studied, therefore the variation in measured values is not random. Muscle activity tended to be higher on riding horse than on pommel horse, and in females compared to males. Key words: horse riding, pommel horse, EMG, electromyography, hipotherapy, correct horse sit
