Electrochemical behaviour of {110}-oriented single crystal boron-doped diamond electrode for electroanalysis
Poláková, Jana ; Schwarzová, Karolina (advisor) ; Fischer, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of the electrochemical behavior of the neurotransmitter dopamine on mechanically polished single crystal boron-doped diamond electrodes with crystal orientation {110} and the boron-to-carbon (B/C) ratio in the gas phase during the chemical vapor deposition process at 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 ppm. Measurements were carried out on mechanically polished, O-terminated and H-terminated electrodes. The redox inner-sphere markers [Fe(CN)6]3−/4− and dopamine/dopamine-o-quinone and the outer- sphere marker [Ru(NH3)6]3+/2+ were used for electrochemical characterization of the polished electrode surface by cyclic voltammetry. As the B/C ratio increases for inner-sphere redox systems, ΔEp values decrease due to the acceleration of heterogeneous electron transfer kinetics. The high values of potential differences indicated that DA behaves quasi-reversibly at BDD electrodes. The ΔEp values for [Ru(NH3)6]3+/2+ showed no trend, confirming the independence of this marker at the doping level. Repeatability was further investigated when several measurements are performed in succession, with the DA solution being stirred before each measurement. It was found that when the solution is stirred, the current response does fluctuate (sr = 9.20), but the potential shows very low...
Working conditions of women providing paid sexual services in the Czech Republic, with concentration on the clients of nongovernmental organization "Bliss without risk" working in the Prague sex clubs
Poláková, Jana ; Večerka, Kazimír (advisor) ; Malinová, Hana (referee)
Bachelor work "Working conditions of women providing paid sexual services in the Czech Republic, with concentration on the clients of nongovermental organization (NGO) Rozkoš bez Rizika (Bliss without risk) working in the Prague sex clubs", concerns about female prostitution from the point of view of working conditions and takes notice of some respective influencing factors. The thesis reffers about different sights on problems of commercial sex, taking the view points from unordinary directions; effort of recognition of work with the aim to get the same working conditions, rights and protection, like in any other work areas, and on the other hand, describing commercial sex as violence against women, that can not be considered as work itself. It takes insight to the spheres of social work in relation to individuals, who offer paid sexual services. More further, areas that can be included in working condition of sexual workers and some factors that can influence these conditions are described. One of the important factors is the government policy regarding prostitution, where contemporary and proposed legislation impact at working conditions, is considered. Thesis describes working environment of sexual workers, lists the diversifications and risks that result from this environment. A quantitative survey has...
Literary analysis of Orchis militaris, a book by Ivo Michiels
Poláková, Jana ; Krol, Ellen Jacoba (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Lucie (referee)
A 'Type-ideal novel' (een 'idealtype van roman')', is according to the Flemish writer Ivo Michiels such a novel, 'that a film which can not be filmized of brought into the concrete milieu. It's a novel that does not want to compete with consumer industry, based on abundance of information, especially in the film.' (Janssens, 5) In the thesis Literary Analysis of Orchis militaris, a book by Ivo Michiels we have analysed how does a novel look like, written by an author of such a vision. The focus ov this thesis is the literary analysis of Orchis militaris (1968), which includes both formal and thematic analysis. Moreover, I integrated this book into the literary-historical context, which indicates the connection between this book and the Flemish, Dutch and world literature - especially important was the experimental literature of 50th and 60th and the French nouveau roman. During the research I managed to define the typical features of this work, a.o. the expanding sentences, almost forming a labyrinth, not censored inner monologue, very slow time, unclear boundaries between individuals and the images, the characters, which do not have any character - the only things we knoě about them, are the situations in which the characters are, there is no perspective of future or direction of movement, in the book is...
Motivation of students for working in non profit organisations explained on an example of the student organisation AIESEC
Bosáková, Markéta ; Dvořák, Marek (advisor) ; Poláková, Jana (referee)
This bachelor thesis discusses the topic of motivation of students joining the student organisation AIESEC. The theoretical part gathers information about the topics of motivation and volunteering in non-profit organisations, which will we be introduced on an example of a student organisation AIESEC. The empirical part presents results from the research that was conducted to find out what was the motivation of students to join the organisation, what factors substitute volunteers financial reward and what are the motives of students volunteers are for long-term staying in voluntary activity. Subsequently will we look into ways the management of the organisation stimulates its volunteers and if these methods are effective or not.
