Home for the Elderly

The diploma thesis deals with the design of the project documentation of the home for the elderly in the village of Šoporňa, in the territory of the Slovak Republic. The building is designed as a detached building with three above-ground floors, partly underground. The building consists of a public section on the ground floor, where are situated services for residents and the general public such as hairdressing and cosmetics, doctors and dentists, cafes, massages and shop. There are also offices for administation, the dining room for the employees and the guests. First floor and second floor is designed for seniors, there is also a common room on each floor. The cellar part is designed for the interest of the guests, partly serves as a technical room. The third part of cellar serves as space for the maintenance of the building, the general storage areas and storage areas for business activity. Building is covered with warn flat roof with emergency breakwaters. The structure is based on the foundation pads and the structural system of the building is RC frame. The ceramic cavity blocks with contact insulation and ventilated facade are used on the infill walls. In the southern part of the building there will be a relaxing park and a relaxing garden.
The effect of the ventilation settings on amount of fed air and its distribution in the car cabin

This thesis deals with measuring of the distribution and volume of intake air inside vehicle cockpit under varying outdoor conditions and air conditioning settings. Fan characteristic was developed to determine the volume of air taken inside the cockpit. The measuring was made using speed probes in climatic chamber, where different outdoor conditions could be simulated. Following the measurements there is dependence between the air distribution and the outside temperature. The diploma thesis presents source materials to develop a mathematical model of car cabin.
Heating of a production hall

The thesis is focused on different options of heating methods of production halls. On their advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, the work deals with the selection of a suitable heating method of a specific production hall and the calculation of the ideal designing of the heating system.
Detached house in Šoporňa

The aim of bachelor thesis is design a family house in village Šoporňa, which is situated in southwest of Slovakia. Building is designed as a one-generation house for five members with possible future remaking on duplex house. The building is desingned as two-storey house, with partial basement, with saddle roof, with two bay and external garage. External walls in underground part are from concrete block with reinforcement. External walss in above-ground part are from system Porotherm from the ceramics bricks filled by mineral insulation. Object is situated on slightly sloping terrain. The ceiling above basement is from reinforced concete and ceiling between ground floor and first floor is made of system Porotherm. Main entrance is situated on south, minor entrance is situated on west. Design documentation was made in program AutoCAD 2013. Part of bachelor thesis is thermal assessment, fire safety assessment, five construction details, tecnical report, 3D vizualization and seminar work of environmental assessment.

The 2008 United States financial crisis - causes, progress and effects

Thesis deals with the 2008 United States financial crisis, its causes, progress and effects. The first chapter concentrates on the progress of financial crisis with emphasis on its originator -- subprime mortgage crisis. The next chapter deals with the analysis of the causes of financial crisis and its comparison with the causes of the Great Depression. The third chapter assesses the effects of the financial crisis on two industries (car and construction) and on the real growth of the economy.
