Specifics of nutrition and physical activities during puerperium and breastfeeding

This thesis deals with the nutritional and physical activity issues during puerperium and breastfeeding period. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The aim of the theoretical part is to provide a comprehensive overview on this topic; therefore it contains chapters on physiological changes of woman's body after childbirth (including metabolic changes), breastfeeding, breast milk and it also briefly touches the nutrition of the child. The chapter on women's nutrition covers energy intake, macro and micronutrients, drinking regimen, postpartum weight development and reduction, and several myths in the nutrition of breastfeeding women. The last two chapters are physical activity recommendations depending on several significant postpartum milestones and rest and sleep. The practical part consists of quantitative research and a booklet. Eva Aujezdská Title: Physiotherapy during and after giving birth spontaneous way Bachelor's thesis abstract: This bachelor's thesis deals with problems of childbirth and postpartum period of women and deviations of the musculoskeletal system occurring in connection with spontaneous childbirth and puerperium most frequently. It also deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy, which can be used to alleviate, eliminate or prevent these abnormalities. The aim of the paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of information, to describe the effect of physiotherapy on a woman's recovery after spontaneous childbirth and to compile an information booklet with therapeutic exercises. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, there is a description of the course and mechanism of spontaneous labour, including the anatomical structures that are most burdened by this process. Physiotherapy options suitable for obstetric care are also presented. Healthy nutrition and sport during pregnancy

Pregnancy is a period in a woman's life that fundamentally changes life of hers, of her partner and even of her whole family, because by the delivery a new individual is born. Naturally, the process of its development and growth is carried out via its mother, who usually carries it in her body for nine months, and during this period and even before conception, the individual's development is strongly influenced by mother's lifestyle. Healthy lifestyle, meaning primarily varied and balanced diet and adequate physical activity, can not only prevent countless malformations of the fetus, but also favourably affect the course of pregnancy itself and subsequent mother's rehabilitation after delivery. This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of nutrition and sport on pregnancy and fetal development. It is divided into a theoretical part which summarizes the theoretical knowledge of this issue, and a practical part where research on this topic is elaborated. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters.
