Business Plan for an Existing Company Development
Petříček, Radim ; Přibyl, Martin (referee) ; Chlebovský, Vít (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the IdentCORE company operating in the area of identification RFID media and plastic cards printing as a distributor and reseller. The main goal is to build a business plan and to identify the market and product opportunities. Another goal is to identify new opportunities on one of the markets of the EU in the segment of RFID component. The theoretical part is dedicated to the structure, purpose and content of a business plan together with the definitions of the analysis used in this project. The practical part of the business plan itself deals with specific values achieved and the evaluation of those observed. As an output of this work, the establishment of the IdentCORE company with a defined financial plan, design innovation in service offerings and successful implementation of e-shop with a new web presentation, was put in process.
Water treatment and disinfection in outdoor conditions
Hrušková, Barbora ; Načeradská, Jana (advisor) ; Petříček, Radim (referee)
Travel to countries with inadequate sanitation facilities or to the wild involves the risk of contracting pathogenic organisms. There are several options for providing hygienic drinking water in field conditions. The main objective of this paper is to present these options to the reader, to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of different types of water treatment and disinfection in the field, and to assess the health risk of consuming water treated in field conditions. For while there are a large number of studies on water treatment in water treatment plants, there are few studies on water treatment under field conditions, and in particular the generation of disinfection by-products (DBPs) during field water disinfection. One method to treat water in the field is the use of filtration. Filters can remove suspended solids and bacteria from water due to membranes with pore sizes of about 0.2 μm. The advantage of filters is that they do not encourage the formation of DBPs. On the other hand, 0.2 μm pore sizes may not stop all pathogens. Disinfection with UV light has been shown to be effective, but in turbid water the effectiveness decreases. It is recommended to stir the water with a UV lamp to improve the disinfection results. UV does not produce DBPs, which is an undeniable advantage of this...
Possibilities of perfluorinated organic compounds (PFCs) removal in drinking water treatment plants and their occurrence in drinking water sources in the Czech Republic
Čermáková, Lenka ; Fialová, Kateřina ; Prokopová, Michaela ; Semerád, Jaroslav ; Petříček, Radim ; Pivokonská, Lenka ; Cajthaml, Tomáš ; Pivokonský, Martin
This summary research report was implemented within the project TAČR TJ04000212 program to support applied research ZÉTA „Possibilities of perfluorinated organic compounds (PFCs) removal in drinking water treatment plants and their occurrence in drinking water sources in the Czech Republic“. This report is addressed to water treatment plant operators and serves as a basic material for optimizing the coagulation / flocculation and adsorption process in water treatment. The report explains in detail the issue of removal of perfluorinated organic substances (PFCs) in water treatment, especially the process of adsorption in pilot plant conditions. This report will be used as a theoretical basis for the operation of the water treatment plant in Kutná Hora operated by the Water Management Company Vrchlice - Maleč, a. s.
Optimization of the coagulation/flocculation process at the Myslivny water treatment plant
Pivokonský, Martin ; Prokopová, Michaela ; Petříček, Radim ; Čermáková, Lenka
This report describes the raw water quality focusing on the content of natural organic substances, as well as laboratory optimization of coagulation operating parameters - especially the type and dose of coagulating agent and the value of reaction pH and proposing measures necessary to improve the current situation.
Optimization of laboratory procedures for effective water treatment plant operation
Pivokonský, Martin ; Vašatová, Petra ; Petříček, Radim ; Pivokonská, Lenka ; Novotná, Kateřina
This scientific report has been realized within a TACR project (no. TJ01000169) of the ZÉTA programme aimed at supporting applied research. The report is intended for water treatment plant (WTP) operators and serves as a basic guideline for optimization of the coagulation process in water treatment. In the first part of the report, a methodology of jar tests is briefly described. Conducting the jar test is fundamental for an effective control over the coagulation step in WTP operation. Jar tests are necessary for a determination of the optimum operating conditions of coagulation, i.e., type and dose of the coagulant and coagulation pH value, needed for reaching the highest treatment efficiency. The other part of the report summarizes and evaluates the results of jar test optimization conducted at the WTP in Kutná Hora, and recommendations for optimization of the WTP operation are suggested. Economic aspects of the optimization are then discussed in a separate section.
The influence of flocculation conditions (global shear rate and time) on the shape and structure of formed aggregates and the efficiency of their separation by sedimentation and filtration
Pivokonský, Martin ; Vašatová, Petra ; Pivokonská, Lenka ; Petříček, Radim ; Filipenská, Monika
A summary research report on the influence of hydrodynamic conditions of flocculation (the intensity of mixing, residence time, etc.) on the property of the aggregates (size, shape, structure, etc.), that have a major impact on the separation steps (sedimentation, filtration) during water treatment. The report will be used by the water treatment plants with the technology of high intensity flocculation.
