Stolpersteine or stones, which is necessary to stumble

The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce the reader to the art-historical project Stolpersteine. Its author is the German Gunter Demnig, who first came up with the idea to honor the memory of Holocaust victims in 1992. The purpose of the project is to commemorate the victims of World War II and the Nazi regime, not only Jews but also Roma, homosexuals and Jehovah's Witnesses. Stolpersteine are in the form of paving stones with a brass surface, which are usually inserted into the sidewalk before the last known voluntary residence of the victim. The Stolpersteine project soon attracted the attention of experts and the general public throughout Europe. In the Czech Republic, the first memorial stone was laid in 2008 in Prague, then in Mikulov, and more are added to various parts of the country every year. Laying new stones is not a trivial matter and the legislative process, which begins with an application and ends with the issuance of a decision, involves a number of steps. The purpose of Stolpersteine is to get today's young generation to reflect on events that its representatives have not experienced, but whose legacy continues to shape political and social events not only in Germany but also in other European countries, including the Czech Republic. The primary subject of this bachelor thesis is to mediate the life story of Eva Mändlová, Roubíčková. Its second, central part surveys this Jewish woman's life path from her early childhood, through her deportation to the Terezin ghetto to the long-awaited return home. In a broader context the work strives to give the present audience an understanding of the everyday life of Jews, which was deeply affected by the events of World War II. For that purpose it uses not only the available historical records, but also authentic testimonies of Holocaust survivors. Its itroductory part follows the footsteps of the Jewish population in Žatec region from its first mention until the present time. Nursing care about children with hydrocephalus.

This bachelor thesis "nursing care for hydrocephalic children" deals with the specifics of nursing care and its difficulty. Hydrocephalus is an excessive accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid that causes the brain's ventricular system to expand.The formation of the hydrocephalus comes due to imbalance in cerebrospinal fluid production or hydrocephalus can cause obstruction in the natural circulation of cerebrospinal fluid. The illness can lead to increased intraocular pressure and progressive head growth. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part will explain the term hydrocephalus, causes of origin, diagnosis and treatment. It also mentions the complications of operative solutions and subsequent nursing care. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is processed as a qualitative survey using the technique of semi-structured interview and case history. The target of the bachelor thesis was to find out the specifics in nursing care in children with hydrocephalus. Based on the target of the bachelor thesis, two research questions were identified. First: "What are the specifics in nursing care by children with hydrocephalus?". The second definition of the research question is: "What are the most common problems for children with hydrocephalus?" By processing the research part of the thesis, it was found, that nursing care for children with hydrocephalus is very demanding, both psychologically and physically. Taking care of these children is also very time consuming. Nursing care also depends largely on well-established and functioning treatments. If the patient is properly compensated, they may not be dependent on the care of another person. The research shows, that nurses are well informed about this disease and care for these children spend the time. This bachelor thesis will be the basis for a presentation at a conference in Budějovice on Kazuistika.

Business plan: Café with concept of selling design products

The main aim of this Master's Thesis is to introduce a successful business plan with the unique concept of café, selling point and showroom that will be realistic, cost-effective and attractive for customers. The Thesis is divided into two main parts, the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part includes basic information designed for aspiring enterpreneurs. In this part there are described fundamental concepts associated with doing business, Lean Canvas model as well as terms and structure of business plan. The practical part relies on the information contained in the theoretical part and represents the business plan of a company "Café at the Watchamker". In this part of the Thesis there are results of market research, competition analysis, customer characteristics, financial analysis, SWOT analysis and business risks analysis. In conclusion of this part there is evaluation of success and feasibility statement of the business plan.
