Student with hearing impairments at university

The purpose of this thesis is to describe support services for students with hearing impairment which are being provided by Czech universities. The paper describes laws related to educational rights concerning students with special needs. The thesis is also devoted to particular areas that are necessary for university studies, such as language proficiency or interpreting services. The main part of the thesis is a list of public universities, which holds the information whether each university establishes a service centre for students with special needs and presents specific services provided to students with hearing impairment. Lastly, there is mentioned an organization which unites together some of the public universities that provide support services for students with specific needs. All information has been acquired by analyzing websites of the universities, in some cases also through e-questionnaires. The results of this thesis enable a quick and comprehensive insight into the issue of the provision of services to students with hearing impairment at university.
Diagnostics and development of partial funcions of pre-school children with hearing disabilities

This thesis deals with the diagnostics and development level of partial functions of preschool children, due to the necessity of the skills for acquiring basic school skills, ie. reading, writing and counting. Children with hearing disabilities are a specific group in this area due to the possible difficulties in obtaining information from the majority auditory society, and thus acquiring the necessary knowledge. One of the goals of the thesis presented here is to find out what diagnostic materials are suitable and evaluating for children with hearing disabilities in preschool age. Whether tests are primarily focused for this group of children or tests designed for hearing children can be used effectively. The second goal of this thesis is to determine if and to what extent there will be an improvement in test results in case of controlled activities took place with children in comparison with the period when similar activities were not carried out with them. A six-month research was conducted with selected children with hearing disabilities, during which they were repeatedly tested using two different diagnostic materials. Corpora od sign languages

The purpose of this thesis is to describe specifics of sign languages corpora creation and structure and to design a form of a corpus of Czech Sign Language. These specifics are illustrated on two specific foreign corpus of sign languages. The first part of the thesis tells basic information about corpus linguistics and sums up characteristics related to a sign language corpus and also a corpus of a spoken language. The thesis deals with a general description of the steps that are necessary in the process of creating a sign language corpus. Major part of the thesis is devoted to describing two foreign corpora of sign languages - the corpus of Australian Sign Language (Auslan) and the corpus of German Sign Language (DGS). Both of the corpora include information about how they were created and their structure, i.e. data collection and data processing, a selection and creation of an appropriate software. While the part dedicated to Auslan describes the process of annotation of language data in detail, the part about DGS is more focused on the elicitation process. The possibility of forming a Czech Sign Language corpus is outlined in the conclusion of the thesis, as well as a proposal of its possible form.

The thesis dealing with {\clqq}The education of a patient with lower limb ischemia in secondary care`` is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The first objective {--} to find out if patients are informed enough about prevention measures in secondary prevention of lower limb ischemia {--} was accomplished. to find out if patients are familiar with principles of treatment of lower limb affected. To find out if nurses educate patients with lower limbs ischemia. A quality nursing care is based on an individual approach to the patient. The process of education must be tailored to the patient´s needs and it should be easy to understand.
