Šustek, Štěpán ; Klapetek,, Petr (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the design of a device for measuring stress in thin films – laser deflectometer, realization of its design and its experimental testing. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the stress in thin films and its influence on substrate – thin film system. The second chapter provides an overview of devices widely used for measuring stress in thin films and describes some their advantages and disadvantages. In the third chapter some design possibilities of the device are presented. The final solution of device called deflectometr is introduced in the fourth chapter. The last chapter includes the functional testing the device.
Image processing within determination of topographic surface parameters
Boháč, Martin ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (referee) ; Šťastný, Jiří (advisor)
This work deal with determination topohraphic parameters of a randomly rough surface by the help of method of shearing interferometry. It is a optical method for determination surface roughness. The basic idea is based of on deformation interference strips which are made by interference of the same mutually translated monochrome luminous wavefronts. The wavefront is created after transit or reflection monochrome lights from the surface of a studied sample. The wavefronts creates picture with deformed interference strips , which carries information about character of the surface. This information can be profited by algorithms of image processing from the picture . The thesis was developed in research project MSM 0021630529 Intelligent Systems in Automation.
The Shortest Graph's Pahts Finding
Jágr, Petr ; Ohlídal, Miloš (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is finding, comparing and implementation of algorithms for finding the shortest paths between each of pairs of nodes in a graph. For this task I use modifications of existing algorithms to achive the lowest time consumption of the computation. Modifications are established on Dijkstra's and Floyd-Warshall's algorithm. We also familiarize with Bellman-Ford algorithm.
Realization of the device for measurement of electromagnetic waves scattering from structure of solar cells
Brilla, Pavol ; Březina, Tomáš (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
The master thesis discusses the principles, design and realization of the original device for measuring of the electromagnetic radiation scattering in the structure of solar cells. It follows the results of a previous project "Analýza optických vlastností solárných článku" (ev.n.FT-TA3/142) and as well as knowledge gained from Ing. Vladimir Grundling’s master thesis, which has been done under this project. The subject of this thesis was to make a device for measuring of the electromagnetic radiation scattering in the visible spectrum. The aim of this work is an innovation of the previous device, so that the electromagnetic radiation scattering in the near infrared spectrum can be studied. This makes the possibility to qualify the influence of the rear surface of an active part of solar cell on electromagnetic radiation scattering, i.e., on the conversion efficiency of solar energy into electric. For this reasons it was necessary to modify the device, so that we can change the radiation source and detector because of the transparency of silicon wafers for the near infrared area. The work is supported by the project „Barevné solární články s vysokou účinností pro architektonické aplikace“ (FRTI1/168) in cooperation with Solartec s.r.o.
Optimizing measurement procedure of the optical radiation scattered by solid surface performed by the scattermeter
Klus, Jakub ; Kaiser, Jozef (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
Modification of construction of the device for measuring laser light scattering from rough surfaces
Jaworková, Magdalena ; Klapetek, Petr (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design modification of detection part of the laboratory instrument for measuring the topography of rough surfaces – laser goniometric scatterometer (SM II). Design modification is based on replacement of so far used detector instead for the detector of higher quality with better measurement parameters. The first part of the diploma thesis contains theoretical basics, which are necessary to understand the relationship between scalar diffraction theory and scattering measurements of monochromatic light. The emphasis is on the importance of choosing appropriate detection coordinates, which are affecting the aberrations of detected diffracted light. The practical part is dedicated to improving the sensitivity of the detection part of the scatterometer SM II that is used in The laboratory of coherence optics at IFE FME BUT. This part justifies the choice of the detector which predetermines both the use of optical elements and the overall design of the detection part as the goniometer.
Experimental study of light scattering from solar cells surfaces
Nádaský, Pavel ; Malina, Radomír (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with experimental measurement of angular distribution of electromagnetic radiation scattered from solar cells surfaces. The measuring apparatus is the second genaration of a scattermeter. This apparatus has been put into operation within the framework of this thesis. Results of the thesis are materials for numerical simulations aforementioned scattering and quantitative evaluation of scattering of electromagnetic waves from given surfaces.
Design and Realization of the Second Generation Imaging Reflectometer and its Application in Optical Analysis of Thin Films
Vodák, Jiří ; Držík,, Milan (referee) ; Klapetek, Petr (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
The work deals with a technique of imaging spectroscopic reflectometry developed at The Institute of Physical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The technique is well suited for characterization of samples non–uniform along their surfaces. The technique is primarily used for optical characterization of thin films. First part of the work is focused on basic physical principles of the technique and on ways in which measurement data are obtained. It contains a basic description of evaluating methods and a basic concept of an imaging spectroscopic reflectometer with a description of main parts of such a device. The main part of the work is focused on a description of two devices which were built at The Institute of Physical Engineering together with a description of some of upgrades which were implemented to these devices during their development. A description of measurements done with the two devices is also included. Last part of the work is then focused on further development of the technique. Intention of possible evolution of the technique to imaging spectroscopic ellipsometry is proposed.
Design and realization of the device for measurement of light scattering from surfaces of solar cells
Gründling, Vladimír ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
The principle of an original instrument for experimental measurement of electromagnetic wave scattering from rough planar surfaces is presented in the diploma theses. A design and realization of the instrument is presented too. The instrument is primarily intended for measurement of angle intensity distribution of light scattered from solar cells surfaces. Owing to a possibility to analyse surfaces with a high level anisotropy of electromagnetic wave scattering it is possible to use the instrument for a study of surfaces with an arbitrary type of the surface roughness.
