Automatic Testing of Software

The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to automate the testing of IQRF Gateway Daemon software. The practical output is a tool capable of testing the IQRF Gateway Daemon through an emulated virtual network of intelligent devices. In the theoretical part, the work outlines the issues of software testing to the reader. These principles are then applied in testing the IQRF GW Daemon. The reader will get acquainted with the resulting tool and its functionality, which will be able to further expand if necessary.

Scripting of Common Information Model

This work investigates how system management applications could be rapidly developed with management protocols defined by Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) and open-source programming languages. The focus is on Common Information Model (CIM), Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) and scripting languages. CIM and WBEM are briefly described and the basic terminology of these standards and their infrastructure is introduced. Goals such as object-oriented mapping, shell enablement or generating documentation for CIM classes are discussed. Similar work in this area with their strengths and weaknesses are covered. Requirements for a scripting language are stated and Python is selected for this work with a discussion of some of its more interesting features. Later, Python mapping of Common Information Model is defined with the focus on Python features and conventions. As a proof of concept a prototype mapping (called powerCIM) is implemented and a few examples of management scripts are provided demonstrating the synergy with other open-source projects and libraries such as IPython or PyQt.

Maritime transport in EU - China trade

The bachelor thesis gives an overview of the role of maritime transportation in the international trade between EU an China. Concerning the modern trends in maritime transportation, the containerization is pointed out as well as the actual image of shipping market. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to introduce basic elements of commercial maritime traffic between the EU and China. Write and analyze trends in the given mode of transport in order to compare the evolution of container shipping in recent years. The main aspects examined include the volume of goods transported, international trade in China and the EU, the OBOR project, the quantity of containers transhipped in ports and others.

Management of private label

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out the current condition of consumer as-sociations towards retailer brands and based on the results to suggest the measures that lead to the situation improvement in the increasing sales field as well as in the creation of consumer associations towards these brands. These associations were examined in relation to the Tesco brands. The first part summarizes the theoretical background in the brand management, mar-keting, marketing research, and private brands. The information was drawn from the literature and websites that deal with the topic. The second part focuses on identifying information that was needed to build the questionnaire and testing its original version which was relevant to determine the clarity of the respondents. This was followed by the final version of the questionnaire. The next part first presents a basic sample of the survey and then it evaluates the re-sults and facts based on the survey. This is followed by the measurement proposals in the form of strengthening the leaflets promoting of retailer brands and making more available the discount tokens. These measurements ought to increase the knowledge of the private brands and to remove erroneous perception of some of their categories.
