There were compared particularly the quickness of reaction and the amount of financial aid of the public and nonprofit sectors. The basis for the answers consists of results of the research, held among the subjects, involved in organizing the gatherings after the floods of 2002. For subsequent data processing was used a special methodology, developed for this purpose of public gatherings, built on existing methods of evaluating the performance of nonprofit organizations.
