Bydžovská, Kateřina ; Malíř, Roman (advisor) ; Černá, Jana (referee)
Title: The role of anxiety and fear in gymnastic sports: a systematic literature search Objectives: The aim of this undergraduate thesis is to investigate, through a systematic literature search, the evidence base of professional publications on fear and anxiety in gymnastics and their role on sport performance. Methods: To create this bachelor thesis, the methods of systematic search were used in accordance with the PRISMA statement. Based on the script, data were selected from scientific databases (Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed and EBSCOhost), sources were selected according to pre-set criteria for the selection of the thesis. MS Excel was used to process the scientific publications and Zotero citation manager was used to sort the studies. After subsequent selection, the selected studies that met the thesis selection criteria were analyzed in detail. The selected studies were also critically appraised according to the risk of bias ("Risk of Bias") and summarized. Results: A total of 39 selected studies were included in the systematic search. A total of 33 studies dealt with sport gymnastics, with the results of these studies predominantly indicating a higher frequency of anxiety and fear during gymnastics competitions. There were also studies that addressed the issue of fear and anxiety due to...
The influence of parkour training on the physical fitness of children of younger school age
Gruber, Vojtěch ; Malíř, Roman (advisor) ; Chrudimský, Jan (referee)
Title: The influence of parkour on the physical fitness of children of younger school age. Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the effect of an intervention program with parkour exercises on a positive change in physical fitness of children of younger school age, evaluated by the test battery Unifittest (6-60). Methods: This is a quantitative quasi-experimental study that involved a total of 62 participants aged 7-11 years. The participants were divided into two groups. The experimental group (n=26) consisted of beginners in parkour who had not undergone regular intervention in the form of several weeks of training in the past. The control group (n=36) consisted of participants who either did no sport or did any sport other than parkour. The standardized test battery Unifittest (6-60) was used to objectively evaluate the effect of parkour on positive change in physical fitness. The influence of ontogenesis in the younger school age was checked using Brauer body development index (KEI method). Results: The intervention program positively influenced the physical fitness of children of younger school age. A statistically significant difference was observed in the Unifittest (6-60) results between the control and experimental group, as well as in the long jump in the pre-test and post-test...
A relationship between lateral symmetry of the shoulder joints during modified handstand execution and the Upper Quaretr Y Balance Test
Havelka, Ondřej ; Malíř, Roman (advisor) ; Chrudimský, Jan (referee)
Title: Relationship between lateral symmetry of the shoulder girdle in modified handstand position and Upper Quarter Y Balance Test Objectives: The aim of this study is to test the relationship between the lateral symmetry of the shoulder girdle in the modified handstand position and the score in the Upper Quarter Y Balance Test. Methods: This empirical research investigated the connection between the lateral symmetry of the shoulder girdle in a modified handstand position and the Upper Quarter Y Balance Test (UQYBT) score. Shoulder stability was assessed using the UQYBT score and categorized as shoulder with higher score (P, L, S). The quality of the handstand was evaluated by examining marker displacement relative to the baseline on the y-axis, resulting in higher marker position (P, L, S) and x-axis relative to the line segment, resulting in farther marker position (P, L, S). The relationship between these variables was analyzed using the Goodman- Kruskal λ association test, which measures the strength of association between two categorical variables (UQYBT and higher shoulder (P/L/S), and UQYBT and farther shoulder (P/L/S). The λ coefficient, ranging from 0 to 1, was used to interpret the relationship. Results: The results showed a minimal and statistically insignificant relationship between...
Comparison of strength abilities of the upper extremities on various gymnastic apparatus
Sivoň, Robert ; Malíř, Roman (advisor) ; Chrudimský, Jan (referee)
Title: Comparison of the upper limb strength ability on various gymnastic apparatus Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the strength ability in the strength of hand grip, the strength of flexors of the elbow joint and the strength of extensors of the shoulder joint in participants who focus on rings, rope or suspension system. Methods: The study included men between the ages of 18 and 30 who participate in at least 2 training units on selected gymnastic apparatus. A total of 15 participants were tested in three groups based on their sports specialization (rings, rope or suspension system), where each group consisted of 5 participants. Participants were selected from the Gymnastics Academy Prague, SK Hradčany and TJ Sokol Prague. Testing was performed on handgrip strength using a handheld dynamometer. Furthermore, tests on the strength of the elbow joint flexors and the strength of the shoulder joint extensors were performed using an isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex Humac Norm, USA) in the UK FTVS laboratory. Results: To obtain the results, the ANOVA test was first used to analyze the variance of the data in the three subgroups, which were divided according to the focus of the participants on gymnastic equipment. Tests for data analysis came out without any significant...
Spine pains of gymnasts in selected gymnastic sports
Jahodová, Klára ; Chrudimský, Jan (advisor) ; Malíř, Roman (referee)
Title: Spine pains of gymnasts in selected gymnastic sports Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to describe selected causes of spine pain in connection with the type of gymnastic sport, training load and specific moments when gymnasts feel pain in individual segments of the spine. Methods: For the processing of the data, which was obtained through a questionnaire survey, we used selected methods of descriptive statistics, especially to determine the characteristics of the location and variability of the data. Subsequently, they were processed graphically and tables were created in the Excel. Results: According to the results, 98 % of female gymnasts have experienced back pain at least once in their life. One of the causes is the training load, which has a big influence on the current health condition. The frequency of back pain among gymnasts training twenty or more hours per week with a training unit longer than three hours is bigger than in gymnasts with lower values. Regarding the performance level, female respondents competing at the national level feel more pain than at the highest elite level. In terms of individual sports, artistic gymnastics has the highest number of female respondents who experience back pain or have suffered a spinal injury. The most problematic part of the spine is the...

Malíř, Roman ; Chrudimský, Jan (advisor) ; Krištofič, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Selected gymnastic exercises for flexibility development of hip joints in karate training Objective: The aim of this thesis is to verify, whether typical gymnastic exercises have an effect on the development of hip joints in a group of karatist with different length of training practice. Methods: This thesis is of quasi-experimental character. 18 probands were intentionally selected from two groups - a group of moderately advanced (10) and a group of advanced (8) aged 6-11 years. Probands have completed a movement program aimed at developing flexibility in the hip joints (static, dynamic and theraband exercises). Meantime all probands underwent initial, first control, second control and output measurements using the SFTR method in the hip joints every four weeks of the movement program. Methods used: Mann-Whitney test, Effect size, SFTR method. Results: In both groups, the joint range in the hip joint was improved, especially in the first control measurement (after static exercises). Overall, there is a slight increase in both groups from input to output for all movements. The effect of the exercise on the mobility of the hip joint was not proved, as well as the effect of different types of exercises in both groups with different length of training practice. Keywords: gymnastics, karate,...
