Programmable Relay in the Application of Automated Production Tests
Ondruška, Arnošt ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šťáva, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis describes the design of a programmable relay and its application in the automation of production tests. First, commercially available, professionally produced relays are presented and selected bachelor and diploma theses related to the issue of automated measurement of electrical quantities are summarized. The thesis presents the design of an automated test workplace containing measuring devices, laboratory sources and other accessories controlled by a programmable relay via RS 232, with minimal human intervention. A block diagram is presented in the work, and individual blocks are subsequently described in detail. The output of the work is the creation of a custom design of a programmable relay and its use in automated measurement and control of the properties of serially produced industrial sources for the energy industry. The test program itself is written in the BASCom-AVR language.
The measuring card diagnostic for the test system
Boháč, Vojtěch ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with issue of optimization of matrix card diagnostics in the Keysight test systém, which the company is dealing with, and his automation. The theoretical part contains an introduction to the test unit and his components. The first part of the proposal describes the issue and possible solutions by program. In the second part of the proposal, there is a theoretical comparison of the two methods in terms of cost, time and reliability. The practical part contains the program itself, a comparison of methods from a practical point of view and finally a comparisonof theoretical and practical results.
Control unit for CNC milling machine
Pecka, Josef ; Tomíček, Pavel (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the control of CNC milling machines and routers, their motion drives and spindles and the necessary hardware for the implementation of such control. It also includes universal control softwares that can be configured for use on a particular CNC. Based on this knowledge, the requirements for the control unit are then determined and suitable electrical components are selected and used in the design of this unit. It is then implemented and its key elements measured.
Development kit for capacitive touch sensors analysis
Večeřa, Marek ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis adresses the topic of capacitive touch sensing for use in electronics with evaluation on dedicated microcontroller peripheral, or on a dedicated integrated circuit. At first there are presented various ways of capacitive sensor design and their evaluation methods. Secondly in practical chapter I introduce a design of development kit with implementation of different capacitive elements on the STM platform, whose sensitivity and efficiency is evaluated and compared to integrated circuit dedicated to capacitive sensing.
Autonomous system for control of aquarium
Charvot, Jakub ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Tomíček, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis delves into the topic of aquarium automation, aiming to design custom system for this purpose. The essential technology requirements for efficient aquarium operation are summarized at the beggining followed by the market survey with depiction of existing commercial solutions in the field of automation. Regarding the practical part, the thesis explain the design process of the device and takes a deeper look at its crutial steps. System architecture is disccused as well as the creation of electrical schematics, and the design of custom printed circuit boards. The final part of the text is dedicated to the software. The outcome of the thesis is a modular system consisting of a control unit and several connected peripherals managing specific sensors and actuators. The entire system can be configured remotely via a web application.
Design and fabrication of a device controlling the important parameters of the aquarium based on the selected microcontroller
Cagáň, Adam ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis describes design of the system, which automatically regulates water temperature in aquarium and measures water hardness. There is performed thermal analysis of specific model of aquarium, which defines required heat power. Based on this power Peltier module and heat exchangers are selected, that are part of designed heat pump. Thesis describes design of control unit based on ESP32-S3 microcontroller and complementary power supply circuit for Peltier module and uninterruptible power supply for microcontroller. Subsequently, there is designed web user interface running on Raspberry Pi 4B, which allows user to change desired water temperature, lighting interval and display measured water parameters.
Autonomous control system for composite materials heating
Lapčák, Adam ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on designing an autonomous system intended for heating surfaces made of conductive composite material. The design involves smart electronics design for integration into distribution boards and the ability to control power switching elements. Emphasis is also placed on the possibility of remote system control via the internet network. For an easy deployment in any location, the autonomous system will use a mobile network. System control will be realized with a dedicated HTTP API server along with a custom user application.
Effect of electromagnetic compatibility on the operation of automotive LED drivers
Vinklerová, Viktorie ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with electromagnetic compatibility, its bonds, measuring devices and interference sensors. Furthermore, the thesis includes a discussion of nearfield probes, standards CISPR25 and TEM chamber methods. It describes two integrated circuits NCV78964 and NCV78514 LED drivers from onsemi and their modules. The aim of the work is to design the measurements, then to implement and evaluate them. Finally, to optimize the operating parameters of the drivers with respect to both EMC and driver functionality.
Design and implementation of a platform for control LLC-type inverter with a wide input supply voltage range using a FPGA circuit
Pokorný, Ondřej ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the emulation of LLC converter control with a wide input voltage range using a created emulation platform. The first part of this work is focused on the design of resonant converters with a wide input voltage range. Based on theoretical knowledge, an adjustment of the emulation LLC converter is made. The converter modification is concluded with a simulation, where the correctness of the design and the fulfillment of the ZVS parameter in the entire input voltage range are verified. In the next part of the work, an analysis of the control issues of resonant converters, more precisely LLC type resonant converters, is carried out. The acquired knowledge is used for the design of a new emulation platform, which will serve for the emulation of LLC converter control with a wide input voltage range. The last part of the work is the creation of an emulation program for FPGA in SystemVerilog language. The work is concluded by verifying the functionality of the emulation on physical hardware.
