Design of prosthetic foot using additive manufacturing technologies
Lasota, Marek ; Dzimko, Marián (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
Subject of this diploma thesis is a design of a prosthetic foot for an additive manufacturing. It is a dynamic foot made of plastic, designed for an 80 kg patient with a second level of a movement aktivity. From a few concepts is chosen one, which is then optimalized and printed with a MJF method. Functional sample is then undergoing static and cyclic tests according to ISO 10328.
Fabrication of Ankle Foot Orthosis using digital technologies
Lasota, Marek ; Koutecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a new way of an orthotic devices fabrication via digital technologies of 3D scanning, CAD modeling and rapid prototyping. First, as a part of an analysis of a present knowledge, is the usual way of an AFO fabrication described, including its disadvantages. Then the new method is outlined. Following, a thorough research of past works, which were already dealing with this subject, is done. In the second half of the thesis is the novel approach demonstrated in a development of an ankle-foot orthosis concept based on scanned data of a healthy subject‘s leg. In conclusion, an overall review and comparision of both fabrication processes is made.
Anechoic Chamber Application
Lasota, Martin ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis presents evaluating of acoustic variables and anechoic chamber application. There are described physical requirements for the anechoic chambers. Part of this thesis deals with measurement of audio signals to calculation sound pressure level. The last part of this work includes audio signals of two microphone positions during the measurement sound source and finally their processing and evaluation.
Aeroacoustic simulation of human phonation with the wale sub-grid scale model
Šidlof, Petr ; Lasota, M.
The paper reports on an aeroacoustic model of voice generation in human larynx, based on Large Eddy Simulation with the Wall-Adapting Local Eddy-Viscosity (WALE) sub-grid scale (SGS) model. The simulation uses a three-step hybrid approach, with an incompressible finite volume CFD computation providing the filtered velocity and pressure, evaluation of the aeroacoustic sources, and simulation of the sound propagation by finite element discretization of the Acoustic Perturbation Equations. The WALE SGS model is used to overcome the limitation of the classical Smagorinski SGS model, which overpredicts the SGS viscosity in regions of high shear, especially within the boundary layer in the glottal constriction. Results of the 3D CFD simulation, location of the aeroacoustic sources and the spectra of the radiated sound for two vowels are presented.

Numerical modeling of the water cooled charge air cooler in/out chamber leading to development of the analytical model
Lasota, Martin ; Pavlica, Ondřej (referee) ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with numerical simulations of an air flow in a water cooled charge air cooler (WCAC), specifically with pressure drops in inlet/outlet chamber. The simulations have been performed in a proprietary software Star-CCM+. Physical phenomena have been solved by the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations and consequently a matrix of pressure drops for miscellaneous variations of chamber's geometry and the initial flow conditions has been created. Based on the CFD results, dependence between calculated pressure drops and changing parameters has been analyzed and finally a 1D solver has been developed and implemented into a software OpenModelica.
