Comparison of urban and rural kindergartens with regard to children with delayed school attendance

In my diploma thesis, I deal with the comparison of urban and rural kindergartens with regard to the granting of deferrals of compulsory schooling. The aim of the work was to clarify the issue of postponing compulsory schooling and to find out the frequency, reasons for postponing compulsory schooling and the opinions of parents and teachers on questions on the given topic, all from the point of view of comparing urban and rural kindergartens. The work is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part serves as an introduction to the topic. In the first chapter of the theoretical part, I define concepts such as kindergarten - its functions, tasks, cooperation with parents and elementary school. In the second chapter, I define individual areas of maturity and readiness. The third chapter contains a theoretical summary of information on school attendance delays. The practical part was implemented in the form of a questionnaire survey with two groups of respondents - parents of children with delayed school attendance and kindergarten teachers.
