System of employee development in selected organisation

The thesis dealing with the topic "System of employee development in selected organisation" focuses on the educational system of a company operating in the automotive industry. It is a medium-sized company with about 150 employees. The company has chosen a competency model as a training strategy to achieve its training goals, i.e. the company has developed a competency matrix that shows which competencies are necessary for the performance of each job position. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe the educational strategy of the company under study, to identify problem areas and to suggest possible improvements. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part, based on the study of the literature, and an empirical part, dealing with the investigation of the actual state of the functioning of the training system in the company by means of document analysis and structured interview with the HR manager. In the theoretical part, the theoretical knowledge of individual authors is examined to introduce the reader to the issues, there is, for example, an explanation of the basic concepts in the field of corporate training, the phases of training, training from the perspective of strategic or competency-based approach to training.
