Monitoring the activation of selected muscle groups of clients with spinal cord injury

TITLE: Monitoring the activation of selected muscle groups of clients with spinal cord injury. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to monitor the activation of musculus deltoideus anterior, musculus deltoideus posterior, musculus triceps brachii and musculus upper trapezius during douple poling. METHOD: Nine volunteers with spinal cord injury aged 31-60 participated in the study. The monitoring of four muscle groups was devided in three phases. The surface electromyography was used throughout the monitoring. First of all the participants double-poled for one minute at moderate intensity according to the Borg scale. Each participant underwent a 10-minute intervention to correct the posture. In the last phase the volunteers exercised for one minute at moderate intensity. RESULTS: The monitoring of selected muscles underpinned my knowledge, but unfortunately presented data are not statisticaly significant. PaedDr. Karel Jelen, CSc The aim of this thesis is to monitor the activation of selected muscle groups (musculus deltoideus pars anterior, musculus deltoideus pars posterior, musculus triceps brachii caput laterale and musculus trapezius pars descendus) during double poling ergometry. Nine subjects with different spinal cord lesions volunteered to participate in the study. The surface electromyography is used to detect the musculus activation. The monitoring of four muscle groups is devided into three phases. Firstly, all the participants double-poled for one minute at moderate intensity according to the Borg scale. Each participant underwent a 10-minute intervention to correct the posture. In the last phase the volunteers exercised again for one minute at moderate intensity. The aim of the intervention is to decrease muscle activation of musculus deltoideus pars anterior and musculus trapezius pars descendus (muscles with a tendency to hypertonia during wheelchair propulsion and activity of daily living) and to increase muscle activation of musculus deltoideus pars posterior and musculus triceps...

Judical reform in Czechoslovakia 1948 - 1953

This work is introducing the processes which undergone in the Czechoslovak Justice during period of years 1948 and 1953. These processes resulted in complex change of the entire legal system in Czechoslovakia (CS). Newly established communist regime managed to build tight grip on power during the analyzed period of time. Changes of the justice, legal education and advocacy was analyzed by many excellent Czechoslovak scholars from area of law and contemporary history but their free publication was enabled after the fall of the communist regime in 1989. Important part of this work is analysis of the vital laws which was introduced during above mentioned period. First chapter is about important politician Alexej Cepicka, who was an architect of the whole judicial reform. Understanding of his role in the transformation of the society is necessary to understand the historical events. The second chapter focuses on the whole process of purification the society through mass organizations loyal to the communists and attempts to annihilate of the Catholic Church. The third chapter gives us an overview of the legal system transformation, with an emphasis on the new Constitution and vital repressive laws.
