Combinatorics in Physics
Mervardová, Tereza ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Kácovský, Petr (referee)
The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to help the reader apply combinatorics in physics problems, especially in problems in statistical physics. In the first chapter, the reader is reminded of combinatorial basic definitions and relations. In the following chapter, a set of problems is created in such a way that it can be followed later by problems from statistical physics, especially problems related to microstates and macrostates of quantum systems with small number of particles. Furthermore, this thesis contains problems using combinatorics in their solution from other parts of physics as well. This thesis can also be used as a collection of problems in selected topics of statistical physics.

There is described a brief history of the electronic collection and its technical background in the context of the user and the administrator. Part of the thesis includes description of the tasks in the matter of physical issues and its interconnection with other tasks of the Collection of Solved Problems in Physics. In the appendix there are presented selected solved problems with structured sollution. All tasks can be found on the website http://reseneulohy.cz/ or on the attached CD. Activities in particle physics at secondary-school level
Nocarová, Marta ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Kácovský, Petr (referee)
This thesis is aimed at teaching of particle physics on secondary school level and studies literature dealing with experiments and activities which are usable in the clas- sroom. The research was focused on curricula in different European countries, accesible literature useful for teaching, and whether pupils are capable of learning this topic. Three activities were created together with worksheets for pupils and a handbook for a teacher, which contains lesson plans and notes about performing. Their respective topics are Ru- therford's experiment, quark model and bubble chambers. They were tested as it were possible. 1
ConcepTests supporting the teaching of mechanics using the Peer Instruction method
Weissgráb, Lukáš ; Kácovský, Petr (advisor) ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (referee)
Title: ConcepTests supporting the teaching of mechanics using the Peer Instruction method Author: Lukáš Weissgráb Department: Department of Physics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Petr Kácovský, Ph.D., Department of Physics Education Abstract: This diploma thesis focuses on the development of conceptual questions in mechanics (including their testing), which are typical for the method of Peer Instruction. The research part of the thesis follows the historical background of this method and provides an overview of its most important elements including the possibility of connection to other teaching methods. In addition, it presents various collections of conceptual questions in both czech and foreign languages. The research and development part of the thesis is devoted to the preparation of conceptual questions in mechanics which are based on selected misconceptions. These problems were subsequently tested on approximately 130 high school students and the results were statistically processed. In the statistical processing of tasks, we were focused on their difficulty, discrimination and distractor analysis. Keywords: conceptests, Peer Instruction, mechanics, physics teaching
Hydrogen atom on university and high school level
Legerská, Jana ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Dvořák, Leoš (referee)
This master thesis is focused on teaching the hydrogen atom on a university and high school level. The objective of this thesis is to compare ap- proaches to hydrogen atom in available university study materials. Based on this comparison, a study text appropriate for the second year students of education of Physics at FMP CU attending the Quantum mechanics course has been pre- pared. The second goal is to chart available study materials concerning hydrogen atom suitable for high school students. A seminar for high shool students has been designed and piloted. Within this seminar, the students were introduced to the hydrogen atom and atomic orbitals. A worksheet for the seminar and an in- formative text for teachers are enclosed in this thesis together with several tasks published in the Collection of Solved Problems in Physics. 1

Solved Problems in Theoretical Mechanics
Roskot, Michal ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Snětinová, Marie (referee)
The object of the bachelor's thesis was the creation of tasks for "Collection of Solved Problems in Physics". I have created 20 structured tasks on the subject of theoretical mechanics. These are mostly on a university level. I have successfully filled the chapters "The Principle of virtual work" and "Hamiltonian mechanics", which are included in the subject of theoretical mechanics. In order to create the bachelor's thesis it was necessary to get familiar with the web interface of the "Collection". At the same time to create pictures I had to learn to work with a graphical editor. In the text of the bachelor's thesis I characterize the technical solution of "Collection of Solved Problems in Physics", describe advantages of the used structure of the solved tasks and I briefly summarize content of the individual tasks.
Solved Problems in Physics for Electronic Collection - Alternating current
Pfefrčková, Michala ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Koudelková, Věra (referee)
Title: Electronic Collections of Solved Problems in Physics - Alternating current Author: Michala Pfefrčková Department: Department of Physics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Zdeňka Koupilová, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: zdenka.koupilova@mff.cuni.cz The main aim of this diploma thesis was to prepare a set of specialized tasks in Physics. These tasks are supposed to contain comprising structured hints leading to solution of the given examples. The set is implemented in the e-collection posted on http://fyzikalniulohy.cz. This set includes 25 tasks mostly targeted on high schools students. It supplies them with additional tasks for effective study suitable even for university students, starters, as a revision. The other part of the thesis contains a syllabus of alternating current study and the organization of the tasks how to use them to illustrate clearly the particular physical terms. Keywords: alternating current, structured tasks, e-collection, syllabus
Solved Problems in Physics for Electronic Collection - Magnetic field
Popová, Markéta ; Koupilová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Ošťádal, Ivan (referee)
The main focus of this diploma thesis was to create structured tasks from topical unit Magnetic field. They are published in the electronic collection of solved exercises in physics now and they complement the tasks created in previous bachelor's thesis. Each task contains hints, analysis, detailed solution, computation, and is complemented with ilustratived pictures. The structured solutions are aimed at helping the reader with self-study and lead him to thinking about given problems. In the scope of this diploma thesis, were created more complicated tasks for grammar school level that can be used as teacher's preparation for an interesting lesson or seminar, and tasks at the university level of difficulty. The next task was to analyze the topic "magnetic field" from the point of view of elementary school, grammar school and first grade of university, and, on the basis of the term analysis, put the created tasks into the structure of given topical unit and eventually suggest their appropriate use in the education process.
