The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the consequences of the existence of the sharing economy in three specific economic sectors: individual transportation, tourism and the sector of finance. The secondary aim is to assess the emergence of new trends on the labour market and the overall impact of the sharing economy on GDP and tax revenues In the theoretical section I propose a definition and introduce the global social- economic context, which helped the growth of this new economic model. I also describe key principles that facilitated the rise of the sharing economy in most economic sectors. The practical section is devoted to the existence of the sharing economy in the Czech Republic. It is composed of various analyses of existing sharing platforms on Czech markets that leads to an overall conclusion on the outcomes on GDP, labour trends and tax revenues. The results indicate that the sharing economy in the Czech Republic causes so far very little disruption to existing models and its overall impact on the countrys economy is fairly insignificant. However results also show that the potential of this new economic model to be the fuel for future economic growth is substantial if the country succeeds to create a suitable economic, legislative and social environment.

The paper focuses on the issue of corruption and its affect on economic growth. In examining these effects, the study directs its attention at the European Union and is divided into two parts. In the empirical section, the results of a regressive analysis confirm the initial hypothesis of the negative effect of corruption on economic performance. The study then describes the effects of corruption on economic growth using direct and transmission mechanisms. The theoretical part of this study presents information on the problems of this phenomenon in terms of its identification and measurement. The study also considers the differing situations in European Union Member States and disproves the assumption that the EU is divided into the corrupt east and non-corrupt west. In view of the confirmation of the negative effect of corruption on GDP growth, the study presents possible solutions, which in particular call for the need for an effective and enforceable legal system.
