Návrh a implementace systému PAC
Kalina, Petr ; Peterka, Jiří (advisor) ; Hanzlíček, Petr (referee)
PAC (Picture Archiving and Communication) systems enable for storage and management of digital picture data produced by various modalities on radiological and other hospital departments. An effective implementation of a PAC system has to face number of challenges - how the picture data and corresponding metadata are represented, how are they communicated, how the system integrates with other department or hospital subsystems, how the workflow and basic tasks are managed or how scalability, robustness and reliability is achieved. There are several industrial standards affecting this area - and all of them are quite complex. The aim of this work was to design and implement a PAC system that would be capable of long-term production use at PET center of Na Homolce hospital under existing requirements an limitations and that would be very standardized in respect to the existing industrial standards.
The Sixtiers and the Colonial Discourse of the Soviet Culture in Ukraine During the Thaw (1956-1964)
Mokryk, Radomyr ; Tumis, Stanislav (advisor) ; Bakula, Boguslaw Leszek (referee) ; Kalina, Petr (referee)
This dissertation thesis focuses on a topic that is of growing interest among scholars, and for which there is still plenty of room for analysis and interpretation, namely the role of the Ukrainian Sixtiers during the Khrushchev Thaw in the USSR in the period 1956-1964. This cultural phenomenon is analysed within a broader socio-cultural context with the help of the approach of colonial studies. The key research question is "How did the worldview of the Sixtiers develop during the Khrushchev Thaw (1956-1964) from the point of view of colonial studies and how was this reflected in their literary works?" The first chapter describes the historical, political and cultural context of this period. It includes an analysis of the circumstances surrounding the proclamations made in Khrushchev's secret speech in 1956, the beginning of the policy of de-Stalinization, and its impact on the political and cultural life in Soviet Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the development of the official discourse of socialist realism as an official and dominant cultural concept, which was to be applied in artistic and literary works. The main principle of socialist realism, so-called "internationalism", is analysed in terms of its role as an element of colonial discourse. The second chapter focuses on the...
Agent-Based Algorithms for the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows
Kalina, Petr ; Mařík, Vladimír (advisor)
The vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRPTW) is one of the most important and widely studied transportation optimization problems. It abstracts the salient features of numer- ous distribution related real-world problems. It is a problem of finding a set of routes starting and ending at a single depot serving a set of geographically scattered customers, each within a specific time-window and with a specific demand of goods to be delivered. The real world applications of the VRPTW can be very complex being part of higher level sj'^stems i.e. complex supply chain management solutions. For a successful deployment it is impor- tant for these systems to be flexible in terms of incorporating the problem specific side-constraints and problem extensions in an elegant way. Also, employing efficient means of addressing the dy- namism inherent to the execution phase of the relevant operations is vital. The multi-agent systems are an emerging architectm-e with respect to modeling multi-actor heterogenous and dynamic environments. The entities within the system are represented by a set of agents endowed with autonomic as well as social behavioral patterns. The behavior of the system then emerges from their actions and interactions. The autonomic nature of such a model makes it very robust in highly...
Reception of Russian formalism in the Ukrainian culture in the interwar period (1921-1939)
Babak, Galyna ; Chlaňová, Tereza (advisor) ; Kalina, Petr (referee) ; Kratochvil, Alexander (referee)
This study examines the specific aspects of the reception of Russian formalism and the development of the Formal method in Soviet Ukrainian culture in the 1920s - the beginning of 1930s. Russian formalism in the process of reception becomes an important tool for the "modernization" of national culture and, as a result, an instrument for a new phase in the construction of national cultural identity. On that basis, the cultural-historical and ideological context of the development of Ukrainian literary criticism, criticism and (partially) literature of the late 19th - first decades of the 20th century is consistently reconstructed in eight chapters of the work. The first chapter highlights theoretical aspects of the study, reviews critical literature, reconstructs the history of reception of Russian formalism in Russian and Western criticism and the history of literature. The second chapter addresses the historical and theoretical premises of the reception of Formal theory in Ukrainian culture. The next chapter discusses historical and political context of the development of literature and literary criticism in 1917-1920 using the example of multinational post-revolutionary Kiev; a brief review of the theoretical and historical works of the 1920s also appears here. A special focus is put on the...
Literary surshyk: contours of literary multilingualism
Sevruk, Alexej ; Lendělová, Věra (advisor) ; Bakula, Boguslaw Leszek (referee) ; Kalina, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with mixed hybrid Russian-Ukrainian language known as surzhyk with an emphasis on its reflection in contemporary Ukrainian literature. The aim of the thesis is to outline the basic features of the contemplation of literary surzhyk. The first part presents a general definition of the concept of surzhyk, its sociolinguistic definition, geographic and functional extension. Further on, it suggests the relationship between this phenomenon and its literary reflection - so-called literary (or also author's or conscious) surzhyk. The following section reviews the reflection of literary surzhyk in theoretical works, both linguistic and literally theoretical. The use of literary surzhyk is discussed in detail in the major monographs dedicated to this phenomenon (Artur Bracki, Larysa Masenko, Salvatore Del Gaudio) and in the key works on Ukrainian postmodern literature and Ukrainian society (Tamara Hundorova, Roksana Charchuk, Ola Hnatiuk). In the third part, Peter Mareš's concept of intratext multilingualism is taken over for further investigation of literary surzhyk. The paper tracks the forms of hybrid language in Ukrainian literature and what functions it performs here. Some specific forms of textual multilingualism have been introduced as the most appropriate for grasping literary...
