Design of the Aero Center Network Infrastructure
Kadlec, Vojtěch ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of the network infrastructure of the company Aero Invest s.r.o. The design consist of creating complete documentation for the subsequent implementation of a computer network according to the requirements of the investor. The design contains both active and passive elements and the method of security technologies.
Age Estimation from Retinal Images: Different Image Preprocessing Approaches
Kadlec, Vojtěch
Human age is considered an important biometricparameter that is often difficult to determine. Previous studieshave shown that the non-specific general anatomical and physiologicalcharacteristics seen on fundus images are all likely signs ofageing. This paper focuses on age estimation from retinal imageswith different image preprocessing approaches together withproposed image detail enhancement method. Convolution neuralnetwork framework is based on the ResNet-34 architecturetogether with the Consistent Rank Logits algorithm estimatingage as an ordinal variable. The best model achieved a meanabsolute error of 3.47 years, outperforming existing modelsestimating age from retinal images.

Human age is considered an important biometric parameter that is often difficult to determine. Previous studies have shown that the non-specific general anatomical and physiological characteristics seen on fundus images are all likely signs of ageing. This bachelor thesis focuses on age estimation from retinal images. The first part of the thesis deals with the retina of the human eye as such, including physiological and pathological changes during aging. Then the principles of neural networks and principles of age classification from image data are described. The practical part is devoted to the implementation of the algorithm itself. The convolutional neural network framework is based on the ResNet-34 architecture together with the Consistent Rank Logits algorithm estimating age as an ordinal variable. The best model achieved a mean absolute error of 3.42 years, outperforming existing models estimating age from retinal images. All algorithms are implemented in the Python programming language using the Pytorch library.

Role of Knowledge Bases in Regional Innovation Systems
Kadlec, Vojtěch ; Blažek, Jiří (advisor) ; Slach, Ondřej (referee) ; Žítek, Vladimír (referee)
The main goal of this work was to contribute to an understanding of the role of the knowledge bases in regional innovation systems and to identify whether the sizes of the different subsystems of regional innovation systems differ in relation to their economic and innovation maturity, and the structure of the knowledge bases is relevant. Work has also sought to identify factors limiting the more efficient interconnection of the two sub-systems of regional innovation systems and how these negative factors can be overcome. The analyses carried out have shown that economically and innovatively developed regions follow different trajectories in the composition of knowledge bases than less developed regions. More developed regions have more developed analytical knowledge base and less developer regions are more oriented on synthetic knowledge base. The analyses also revealed that regional innovation systems vary in size and internal structure of each subsystem. Advanced regions have a much more developed subsystem of knowledge exploitation, that is the demand side, while less developed and less innovative regions have more developed the supply side, that is, the knowledge generation subsystem. Trust, information exchange and shared strategic vision have proved to be among the key aspects that can...
Transfer of Technologies at Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague
Kadlec, Vojtěch ; Blažek, Jiří (advisor) ; Žížalová, Pavla (referee)
This master thesis is focused on issues of technology transfer and cooperation between universities and application area. The aim is to disclose the barriers and factors that affect technology transfer and to identify the spatial pattern of cooperation. Theory of regional systems, concepts of triple helix, differentiated knowledge bases and models of learning are verified by a case study of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. For the verification were used guided interviews with selected leaders of research teams at Faculty of Science. This thesis points out that the local specifics shape the character of cooperation. On the other hand comparison with research institutions in South Moravia shows that barriers affecting technology transfer are national. The comparison also shows that the existence of supporting institutions can positively affect the transfer of knowledge between academic and industry sphere. Key words: technology transfer, cooperation, personal contacts

The lawyer and the client - mutual rights and obligations
Kadlec, Vojtěch ; Smolík, Petr (advisor) ; Winterová, Alena (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to specify certain legal relationship arising between attorney and his client. This legal relationship characterises, to certain extent, role of attorney in the legal system of the Czech Republic and that is why it deserves attention. The main legal source for this thesis is Act No. 85/1996 Coll., on the Legal Profession, as subsequently amended. This act is interpreted in following chapters in coherence with other acts, subordinate legislation and professional rules. After brief introduction into the issue I focus on particular causes of the formation of attorney-client legal relationship. The origin itself is determining for specification of mutual rights of both subjects. Besides talking about the formation, I will also mention the rejection and termination of the legal relationship. The next chapter deals with the ethics in advocacy, which we should keep in mind while interpreting particular rights and obligations. Ethics is characteristic sign of attorney's profession. Chapters 5 and 6 are the actual core of this thesis, when interpreting individual rights, that constitute the actual attorney-client legal relationship. I systematically divided those rights and obligations according to the subject, which has the duty to ensure those obligations. In Chapter 5 I focus on...
