Ecclesiastical Roots of Fair Trade
Jindrová, Martina ; Jandejsek, Petr (advisor) ; Pařízek, Michal (referee)
This bachelor work concentrates on origins of the idea of fair trade religious environment. It introduces the goals and principles of fair trade and it lists organisations fulfilling these goals in reality. This work also describes the Christian denomination of Mennonites, which is closely linked to fair trade. Edna Ruth Byler is one of the volunteers coming from this denomination and she is also the founder of the fair trade organisation Ten Thousand Villages. Even in the Czech Republic Christian denominations and religious societies are involved in fair trade. This work includes an interview with one of the main founders of fair trade in the Czech Republic and an active Christian Věra Lukášová. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Effect of carbon dioxide on neurovascular coupling during cortical epileptic activity in rats.
Jindrová, Martina ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Brožíčková, Carole (referee)
Aim: The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of CO 2 on neurovascular coupling in response to epileptiform activity after trancallosal electric stimulation in rats. Methods: Adult albino rats (250-350g, n=6) were anaesthetized with isoflurane and epidural silver EEG electrodes were implanted and fixed into the skull over sensorimotor cortices. To measure regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) during epileptic activity a self-made metal holder for Laser Doppler Flowmeter (LDF) probe was fixed to thinned skull with dental acrylic. To measure arterial blood pressure (BP) and arterial blood gasses a plastic catheter was implanted into the common carotid artery. After postsurgical recovery animals were placed in a recording chamber. After 20 minutes of background recording effect of CO 2 on basal BP an rCBF was tested by inflating a mixture of 10%CO 2 , 20%O 2 and 70%N 2 for 30seconds. To assess changes in neurovascular coupling a rat model for myoclonic seizures was used. Biphasic constant current suprathreshold stimulus (8Hz, 15s) was applied under normal or elevated CO 2 atmosphere. Results: Elevated CO2 led to a significant increase of both regional cerebral blood flow and blood pressure. In addition, inhalation of 10%CO2 during electrical stimulation of senzorimotor cortex (8Hz, 15s) caused...

Preference of values of girls in educational institute in Jindřichův Hradec
JINDROVÁ, Martina
This work aims at clarifying the value system of teenage girls that are living in educational institute. In the first, theoretical part of the work we presented the historical development of the term value and its relationship to behaviour. The value as a specific form of behaviour we further clarify thanks to terms morality, norm, habit and moral conscience. This analysis enabled us to stress the importance of the term value for pedagogy which is striving to teach girls the consensus of society. Furthermore, we tried to give a definition of teenagers who are one of the most endangered people in terms of behavioural problems. Finally, we clarified the term of educational institute. In the practical part of work we analysed the conversations that we had conducted with teenage girls and pedagogic workers from educational institute on matter of values. Here we looked into the concrete values such as health, family, work, money etc. This conversation showed that girls express the understanding of required values but according to the pedagogic workers they are not actually action according to these values. Thanks to these conversations we discovered a gap between the accepted systems of values and actually formed moral consciousness of girls.
