The development of housing policy in Písek after 1989 and its impact on residental differentiation and segregation

This thesis focuses on the development of housing policy in Písek after 1989 and its impact on residential differentiation and segregation. To do this it was necessary to carry out interviews with key stakeholders and to link the findings with quantitative analysis. From the research, it was found that the city primarily established rules of allocation and sale of city apartments and also tried to address the issue of social housing, especially in the context of an aging population. Also important was the development of residential development, which the town supported the various tools. Influence of the housing policy in Písek created several locations which became attractive for housing. In the city, however, also located 2 socially excluded localities incurred controlled migration socially maladjusted people. As an endangered locality by segregation and social exclusion is denoted housing estate Portyč where is but rather a residential differentiation. It is also possible to observe the cooperation of the city with local actors, as well as disputes between the leaders of housing policy. Contribution of the thesis also focuses on analyzing the implications of municipal housing policy of the city and its inhabitants. Analysis of Rail Freight Transport in Europe

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the status of the rail freight transport in Europe in the sense of its competitiveness on the transport market. The analysis is based on the identification of main barriers that characterise European rail freight and the extent of technological and legislative harmonisation across Europe. The status of the rail freight transport is also explored on the basis of the volume of goods transported by rail in European countries as well as on the comparison with road transport. In order to get the realistic idea about this issue the thesis focuses also on the main Czech rail carrier, ČD Cargo, a.s. and their realized transportations.
Economic relations of the Czech Republic and France.

The aim of this thesis is to describe economic relations of the Czech Republic and France with the help of an analysis of statistical data. Firstly, the thesis characterizes both countries generally. The following chapter focuses on trade exchanges of the Czech Republic and France from the point of imports and exports and also from the point of commodity structure. In addition, the thesis is aimed at foreign direct investments in the both countries and particularly at french foreign direct investments in the Czech Republic. Finally, a possible future development of czech and french relations is described.
Everyday spatial mobility of population in the region Písek: Analysis of selected processes and their geography conditionalities

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the daily movement of people in the region Písek. This investigation was conducted through a questionnaire survey among households in the administrative region of Písek. Based on the results were then analyzed selected processes and their geographical conditionalities and then compared with the available studies in the Czech Republic and abroad. The purpose of this research is to observe differences among the population classified into groups, determine the purpose of routes, frequency, distance, time, and to identify the spatial mobility. It was found that women range different than men and for other purposes, frequently, but with a shorter time and distance and most walk through. For each age group are also noticeable differences. The largest representation in the sample were men aged 36 - 49 years and have done most current paths in order to/from work, with the greatest time and distance with the use of a car. At least the other hand, moving persons aged 65 years and over who had represented numerically smallest, most traveling to/from shopping and services and also by car. In terms of economic status, with the majority working employees, but most roads have gone self-employed persons with the longest time and distance with the use of a car. The smallest spatial mobility had retired persons who consistently as people aged 65 and over have done minimum paths and it corresponded with the time and distance that also benefited mainly car. Based on comparison of results with other studies also differed spatial mobility and other characteristics of the population by the area in which they live, but also between different regions appear identical or similar features everyday movements.
