Sulfate determination using ion selective electrode

In this bachelor thesis, literature survey was performed covering the topic of sulphate ion selective electrodes. For sulphates with their very hydrophilic nature and thus position at the end of the Hofmeister series, many ionophores have been tested to ensure sufficient selectivity for ISE. Standard methods used for sulphate determination such as gravimetry, ion chromatography or turbidimetry have certain disadvantages which are overcome by ISE. The basic properties of newly developed sulfate ion selective electrodes were tested. It was found that a sufficient stabilization time of the electrode in a sulfate anion solution of 10−4 mol dm−3 was one day. The electrode with a potential response most closely approximating the theoretical Nernst response showed linear behavior toward the sulfate anion in the concentration range of 10−6 -10−1 mol dm-3 with a slope of −9.2±2.9 mV per order of magnitude; however, the repeatability of the measurement was quite poor. Interference from nitrate, chloride and acetate anions was significant, monohydrogen phosphate and sulfite anions could be considered negligible.

Analysis of the Education System in Municipal Library of Louny

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the Analysis of the education system of the Louny City Library. The aim of it is to describe the whole process of the employees education in the institution. Its focus is on the analysis of the employee needs, planning and creating the targets of the education program. But the main purpose is to map the specific workings of the Louny City Librarys educational system. I have used an interview with the director of the Louny City Library, Mgr. Dagmar Kučerová, to gain a detailed information about the current system and the progress of the employee education. The benefit of this Bachelor thesis is
in the determination of the institutions education system for the needs of both
the employer and the employees. The current selection of the library employees education is very rich and its continuously updated according
the needs of the institution and the workers. At the end I am suggesting adjustments in the education offerings for the employees on the Economist and the Leisure Activity Assistant positions. The questionnaire showed the employees in these positions dont consider the current opportunities sufficient.

The financial analysis of the AB, a.s. company

The main goal of this Bachelor's Thesis is to assess financial situation of the Elektroline, a.s. company with emphasis on identifying the benefits for the owners. I will mainly focus on Ratio indicators as Liquidity Ratios, Profitability Ratios, Activity Ratios and Leverage Ratios. I mention DuPont Model for a global and deeper view of the factors affecting the benefits for the owners. The added value is quantified by EVA indicator. Index models IN based on a statistical analysis of the data of other Czech companies serve as a determination of the financial health of the company. In conclusion there is the analysis of Working Capital, which records the development of current assets and the status of Net Working Capital adjusted for long-term items.

The valuation of the company BAEST, a.s.

The aim of the thesis is to estimate the value of the company BAEST, a.s. Thesis mainly consists of a practical part, which includes strategic analysis, financial analysis, financial plan and valuation of the company. Strategic analysis deals with development of branch, consists of PEST analysis, Porter analysis and SWOT analysis. Financial analysis assesses financial situation of the company. Financial plan was made for 7 years according to information from financial and strategic analysis. The valuation of the company was performed by method DCF entity. As a complementary method was choosen accounting method.
