Hlavatý, Martin ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with optimalisation of creating and updating package repositories of linux distribution Fedora. Problem is solved by creating a remote cache containing checksums of RPM files and by modifying createrepo to make it access this cache. Communication is done using XML-RPC protocol.
Security Issues in Content Centric Networks
Hlavatý, Martin ; Kaštil, Jan (referee) ; Puš, Viktor (advisor)
Today, computer networks are dominated by data distribution and content retrieval, but technology was created for communication between hosts. Content and service access requires mappnig between what users want and where in network it can be found. Content-centric networks separate content from its location. This thesis aims to security of Content-centric networks, looks for weak spots in its design and suggests steps for improvements of their security.
Software Solution for Small and Medium-Sized Retail Companies
Hlavatý, Martin ; Bulej, Lubomír (advisor) ; Pergel, Martin (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to describe a warehouse management system and an Internet shopping website suitable for a small to medium-sized retailers. The thesis analyzes the needs of such companies, the most commonly performed operations and the persons required to carry them out. Based the results of the analysis, a software solution and its implementation is proposed. The suggested solution is built on a three-tier architecture using web services and implemented mostly in the Java and PHP languages. It is platform-independent, open-ended, and easily manageable (due to a group- and role-based authorization system).
Porovnání použitelnosti Java O/R frameworku
Hlavatý, Martin ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee) ; Lánský, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the usability of one of the most popular O/R mapping frameworks (Hibernate). It examines, whether Hibernate somehow influences an architecture or a performance of the system, which uses Hibernate for data persistence. This thesis also shows, how Hibernate can be used to implement some typical requirements for the enterprise systems (for example audit logging). Findings are demonstrated on the complex domain model, which was created for the purpose of this thesis, but it is also a part of a real-world application. Theoretical part of this thesis examines the power of HQL. It contains the formal proof of translatability of a subset of relational algebra (relational algebra without union, intersection and difference) into HQL.
