Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification

This thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of an information system in order to detect it´s deficiencies and to propose a motion for their elimination. Via application of selected methods, it reveals lack in the system security policy, on which this thesis further focuses. Specifies how to implement asset assessment as a part of the risk management in the company and also contains its own security policy solution using Safetica software, which helps reducing the likelihood of the company security incidents.

Survival Strategies in Times of Crisis in the Global Automotive Industry

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá situací na celosvětovém automobilovém průmyslu v době právě probíhající finanční krize. Popisuje dané odvětví pomocí mikro a makro ekonomických modelů. Dále také uvádí globální trendy a specifika daného průmyslu. Autor prezentuje své názory na aktuální finanční situaci a analyzuje její dopady na automobilový průmysl. Tyto závěry se opírají o teorie strategického managementu a o analýzy dané problematiky. Na základě těchto poznatků pak autor navrhuje strategie, které by v kritických případech mohly vézt k záchraně a vyzdvihuje příležitosti, ze kterých by bylo možné profitovat. Práce poskytuje čtenáři teoretický pohled na aktuální ekonomikou situaci v automobilovém průmyslu a nabízí autorovy hypotézy na strategie, které by mohli vézt z krize v tomto odvětví.

The African Union: Legal and economic analysis

African Union: Legal and Economic Analysis The diploma paper primarily focuses on African integration process, both from the legal and economic point of view. It provides a brief outline of the history of African integration, as well as the socio-political background surrounding the current attempt to unite the African region. In the first chapter, I focus on the political and legal concept of Africa, which is regarded by the preamble of the Constitutive Act of the African Union as seamless and clear. However, the idea of Africa is difficult to grasp, as multiple concerns exist within the geographic borders of Africa. This chapter also introduces in brief the theory of economic integration. The second chapter provides us with the history of African integration, which was for the most of its time closely bound with the project of decolonization and ideas of panafricanism. The adumbration of the African Union, the Organization of African Unity, evolved in a non-operational entity discredited by the respect to many African authocratic rulers who mostly demonstrated little or no sentiment to privation of their peoples. According to the Constitutive Act of the African Union, the significant attribute of this organization is to overcome such a limitation and contribute to the evolvement of the values of democracy...
