Housing Policy and Privatization of Housing Fund in Prague from Year 1993 to 2016

Bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of possibilities how to obtain a private housing in Prague. It focuses mainly on the less known method, the possibility of participation in the privatization process. The goal of the thesis was to investigate whether privatization is the best option in terms of price. The theoretical part deals with the general characteristic of key terms, such as housing policy, housing fund and privatization. The practical part analyses three different possibilities of obtaining an apartment in private property - the privatization, the enforcement of property sale and the purchase from a real estate. Main hypothesis was confirmed, participation in the privatization process proved to be the best option in terms of price.

The economic and social costs of firearm regulation: Impacts of regulation of output, sale, export and import of firearms on state economy and citizens.

This thesis analyzes effect of firearm regulation on crime rate and selected macroeconomic indicators and compares the results with previous findings. The starting point is Gary Becker's economics of crime adapted to the topic of civilian gun ownership. It contains correlation analysis observing the interaction of legally held firearms and gun crime committed with those firearms. The result of the analysis is strong negative correlation between two variables. The second part of this thesis also contains crime statistics from selected OECD countries. The final part shows us the macroeconomic impact of regulation of civilian gun ownership. The result is that changes in gun policy will cause significant impact on employment, collected taxes, output and international trade.

Inclusion in the field of preschool education in the Czech Republic in 2015

The bachelor thesis pursues the inclusion in the field of preschool education in the Czech Republic and its impacts on children with special educational needs as well as on children without special educational needs. The theoretical part is focused on the development of special pedagogy, the definition of the terms of integration and inclusion, the opinions of experts on inclusion, and the legislative and financial support of inclusion from the state. In addition, the possibilities of the integration for disabled children are described in this part. In the practical part the analysis of the questionnaire survey is performed which leads to the conclusion that inclusion has rather positive impacts on children in preschool education provided that there are suitable conditions for inclusion. Nowadays there is still a demand for services of special nursery schools despite mostly positive attitudes to the trend of inclusive education.

Alconomics

This diploma thesis investigates the relationship between the business cycle and the alcohol consumption by using aggregate data for Czech Republic and constituent regions of Czech Republic in the period 1994-2011. The key question of this study is whether alcohol consumption is pro-cyclical or counter-cyclical. This question was asked in many works (Ruhm, Black, 2002). Unlike American studies, in which alcohol consumption is pro-cyclical, my study shows that the decrease of economic conditions has resulted in increased alcohol consumption in society and therefore indicates to me counter-cyclical. I also found that the divorce has a positive effect on alcohol consumption, while the real price has a negative effect.

Development of revenues of spotrs clubs according to the business cycle

The aim of the thesis is to determine whether the fall in the economic cycle turned out also to the activities of sports clubs or not. Explore whether the environment of sport is so specific to their properties, that is better able to succeed in bad economic times than other sectors. The first part will focus and outlines the theoretical basis for the neoclassical theory of the firm, and behavioral. The thesis mentions specific features of sport companies (clubs) and diversification of their revenues and it analyzes what's the position of sport in the state budget and how much influence the sport industry has on economic performance. The analytical part will focuses on selected sport clubs. Based on information obtained it analyzes the changes in the structure of revenues and expenditures over the past few years and evaluate how much sport clubs were affected by the decline in economic cycle or not.

The role of the Hollywood film industry during the business cycle in the first decade of the 21 century

The aim of the thesis is to examine the relationship between the course of the business cycle and the cycle of the Hollywood film industry. In the introductory section are raised theoretical approaches to the economic cycle, which seeks to clarify the causes of decline of economic activity, and compares the different recommendations. The next section is devoted to clarify the specifics of the film industry and provides a better understanding of non-transparent processes within the industry. The analytical part tests the causal relationship between the economic situation of the individual and the Hollywood studios, based on a sample of 90 observations using the Granger causality test and VAR model. Prior to empirical testing is provided a comprehensive analysis of the industry cycles from the inception to the present and is compared to the economic activity of the country. Finally, the confirmation or refutation of dependence and the result is compared with economic theory.

Cílem mé práce je komplexní posouzení finančního zdraví akciové společnosti Stavby silnic a železnic na základě získaných výkazů pro roky 2002, 2003, 2004 a také provést analýzu předběžných výsledků pro rok 2005. Konkrétně si odpovědět na otázky: Jak podnik hospodařil v předchozích letech? Jaká je jeho současná situace? Predikce možných problémů, do kterých by se podnik mohl v nejbližších letech dostat. Zhodnotit přitažlivost a rizikovost investování pro případné investory. Porovnat situaci podniku s odvětvím.

In my graduation theses I deal with determining value of Třinecké železárny, a.s. by means of method DCF with use of FCFF and method EVA. This thesis contains strategic (analysis of a business environment and SWOT analysis) and financial analysis which presenting the base for creating the financial plan. Afterwards we can use this instrument for calculating cash flow and economic value added which are essential to valuating process.
