Bachelor thesis named Image of Napoleon's age in Czech history text books deals with the views of Napoleon I. Bonaparte through historical sources and literature from the 19th century to the present. The Austrian aspect pointed in two directions, Bonaparte's military art on one hand, the celebration of his defeat on the other. The Czech-French alliance was highly beneficial for The First Republic; Napoleon I was even included in textbooks at the time. During the Nazi occupation the view of Napoleon as a statesman and military leader prevailed. The communist doctrine emphasized the rise of Bonaparte's skills and his defeat by the commoners during the invasion of Russia. The thesis tries to show the French emperor in the context of the 19th century and present day, including the creation of the cult of Napoleon I and traditions related to battles that took place. Diploma thesis called Entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in times of state interventionism and dirigisme. Josef Hégr (1896 - 1971) focuses on the aspects of entrepreneurial experience, background and corporate engagement of Josef Hégr, a native of Chotětov (a small rural village located near Mladá Boleslav). The graduate of the business academy was going up from being a bureaucrat in charge of accounting in the international business company called Balkan - a company for trade and industry, to becoming a co-owner of this joint-stock company. Later he continuously worked as a co-owner of the joint-stock company Czech International Transport Company Karlík and Co. until 1948. Josef Hégr became a Czech entrepreneur in transport and agriculture and in the 1930s after he had bought the manor of Horky nad Jizerou and related businesses. His business activities were escalating during the Second World War. And, he worked in national Czech companies where he defended national Czech interests. Concerning the Czech entrepreneurship, he tried to protect much from the occupation forces, and became a crisis manager. Thesis Life and works of Viktor Kamil Jeřábek in the shadow of more famous writers deals with the personality, career and literary works of a teacher and a writer Viktor Kamil Jeřábek through his memoirs and published as well as archived works. The second part compares Jeřábek's prose works concerning Litomyšl with the works of Alois Jirásek and Alois Vojtěch Šmilovský, all of which are thematically similar.
