Utilization of waste heat from rectification
Frank, Vojtěch ; Konečná, Eva (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is to draw up a model of the energy and material balance using technical and technological analysis of the current state of production of waste heat in the process of distillation. Using these results, subsequently evaluate the energy potential of individual streams and propose optimal energy savings using waste heat. Emphasis is placed on the modelling of the process and the various proposed savings options. The result is also an evaluation of the potential of the proposed savings based on the results of the calculation.
Equipment for testing of thermoelectric modules
Frank, Vojtěch ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to specify needed upgrades of current aparatus used for measuring parameters of thermoelectic modules, witch was constructed at the Enegry institute of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. In this theseis current state of aparatus where reviewed and specifications for updates where made. These specifications where used to create plans for new aparatus. Quality of designed aparatus where verified by simulations made in ANSYS. Plans for proposed aparatus where made.
Evaluation of the power output characteristics of the small-scale thermoelectric generator
Frank, Vojtěch ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
This thesis describes measuring of thermoelectric modules. The thesis includes description of specific measured variables including measurement methodology. There are also described principles of different measurement methods and approaches used to measure the variables. Measurement was done to find modules suited for usage in thermoelectric generator. The modules were installed onto thermoelectric generator and measurement of current-voltage curves with different states of boiler Verner A 251.1 were done.
Design of Label aplicator for paletizing commodity before expedition
Frank, Vojtěch ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of label application for palletized goods before expedition, specifically by using automatic label applicators. The solution contains the evaluation of current state of labeling and recherché including applicators that are being used. The overall outcome of the thesis is a proposal of a new mechanical construction solution as well as a calculation of its expected price. The result is a summary of a current state of labeling of palletized goods. There has also been an ideal solution of labeling offered for customer- specified orders.
Reception of Soviet operetta in Czechoslovakia on the example of Dunayevsky's White Acacia
Frank, Vojtěch ; Havelková, Tereza (advisor) ; Bár, Pavel (referee)
The thesis focuses on the staging of Soviet operettas in Czechoslovakia between 1946 and 1987. The import of the Soviet repertoire to Czechoslovak operetta theaters was linked to the cultural and political transformations at the outset of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. The so-called Soviet socialist operetta would soon have been established as a model for new Czechoslovak operettas. As such, it became an important part of the repertoire which was influenced by the official polical system. The thesis surveys the progressing intensity of the import and the developing operetta genre in the Soviet Union. On the examples of Isaac Dunayevsky's operettas Free Wind and, more intensively, White Acacia, in comparison with the original versions of these operettas, it shows the tendencies of interpretation of Soviet operettas in Czechoslovakia, in the changing cultural and political context. The thesis also concerns the topic of critical perception in both cultural environments and, overall, it aspires to capture the examined topics in the widest possible contextual horizon.

The Phenomenon of "Song Symphony" in Nikolai Myaskovsky's Work
Frank, Vojtěch ; Pudlák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Gabrielová, Jarmila (referee)
This bachelor thesis defines and explains the terms such as "songness" and song symphony, clarifies their role in the cultural politics of the Soviet Union, and illustrates their realisation in the symphonic music on the example of three symphonies by Nikolai Myaskovsky. The works under discussion are Symphony no. 8 op. 26, no. 16 op. 39, and no. 26 op. 79 which all, in their form structures, contain parts that bear characteristic features of "songness". The analysis here focuses on the role of these song themes in the given symphonies. In relation to Socialist Realism, there is the term "song symphony" present in the contemporaneous musicological literature, with its sources of inspiration being searched for and its ideological function being promoted. This thesis aims to designate the impact of this dogma on Myaskovsky's work, him having born the label of an "intellectual" or "subjectivist" artist despite the fact that up to a certain point he tried to meet the historical norm and incorporate it into his work. Keywords: song symphony, songness, Nikolai Myaskovsky, analysis, thematic work, Socialist Realism, USSR, cultural politics, artist and totalitarianism
