This bachelor thesis focuses on activities of the supply department in a manufacturing company. Basic terms referring mainly to supplies are characterized in theoretical part. In analytical part is described the analysis of the process of buying the material and rating of levels of inventory management through selected indicators. The last part is about the differentiation of materials based on the ABC / XYZ method and the calculation of optimal values of material supply according to the economic order quantity model.

The theoretical part of the thesis contains an explanation of the basic terms in this issue. A company is introduced in the following part, in which the current state of the company is analysed by a questionnaire survey. Following the results of the questionnaire survey, at the end of the thesis there will be presented proposals and recommendations which could help to improve the current situation.

Reologické vlastnosti bílých jogurtů

Diploma thesis in its theoretical part solves the problems of the milk assortment of dairy products, especially yogurt. It splits yogurt to the different types describing their production and chemical and physical properties. It is followed by a chapter devoted to the physical characteristics of foods, as well as their rheological properties, specifically viscosity. The practical part deals with the rheological properties of specific samples of commercially available yogurt. For these seven samples was determined by the density and the viscosity and shear stress versus shear rate. To assemble the flow and viscosity curves were used Ostwald-de Waeleho model, thanks to him, it was subsequently decided what kind of fluid as, Newton viscosity law, in the case of yogurt is. For the samples was determined as well as the time and temperature dependence of viscosity. Selected samples were analyzed fat content, which can be compared with data on the packaging of the sample.
Multiple-births in Czech Republic

The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of multiple-births in Czech Republic between the years of 1950 and 2005 including the international comparison and assess of the influence of assisted reproduction on occurrence of multiple-births. The thesis is divided into five different parts. The first part is dedicated to the analysis of fertility according to a succession of births in Czech Republic while using the indicators of total fertility, the average age of mothers in the time of childbirth and the total number of new-born babies. The second part focuses on multiple-births considering both historical and contemporary point of view and on possible risks for both the mother and the foetus. Next part describes the assisted reproduction, its history, present and commonly used methods. The fourth part is dedicated to the influence of assisted reproduction on the occurrence of multiple-births and to the analysis of multiple-births with the use of absolute and relative number of mono-births and multiple-births indicators, indicators of total fertility, masculinity index, the rate of stillborn babies and the proportion of children born outside of marriage. The last part compares the development of multiple-births within the European countries according to NIDI 1999 classification.
Prostate cancer in Czech Republic

The theme of my thesis Malignant neoplasm of prostate cancer in the CR (epidemiology, risk factors, trends and possibilities of prevention), Ichose because of the seriousness and topicality of this issue and on the basis of its personal interest in this disease. Malignant neoplasm of prostate cancer incidence in the CR ismoved to 1st place in incidence of malignant tumors of the male population even before the lung and colorectal cancers. Number of new cases reported in the CR continuously increasingtrend. The disease is undoubtedly a very serious medical, social and economic problem not only in the CR, but also worldwide, which deserves a great deal attention. Although prostate cancer in recent years a significant shift leading to a fundamental change in clinical presentation, diagnostic algorithms and therapeutic strategies, unfortunately still many questions unanswered and this tumor has so far failed to get fully under control.
History of census in the Czech Republic and in France (or in Germany, in the USA)

Principal objective of this bachelor thesis is comparing census in the Czech Republic, in France and in the USA. In introductory section concerns on history of census in particular countries, mainly on detailed describe of census during 20th century. This is followed by chapters which attend to methodology and last census in selected countries where illustrated different access in variable parts of the world is. The last part is concerned about following census and perspective to the future, it is introduced the disputation regarding proportion using of administrative sources beside the census. In the work are also included graphs which describe age structures in selected countries for the last census. In attachment there are inserted samples of questionnaires from last census in selected countries.
The question of mandatory vaccination and vaccination coverage

The main concern of this thesis is the issue of mandatory vaccination and vaccination coverage in the Czech Republic. Therefore it focuses on all vaccines against infectious diseases which are now mandatory for all of the children: measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, viral hepatitis B, poliomyelitis and diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b. The goal of this thesis is to illustrate the importance and benefits of vaccination on incidence and mortality of these diseases. Another part of this thesis is also description of methodology which is used to gather data about vaccination coverage and what the results are. In this part Liberec Region is used as an example. As a result of the unsuitable methodology which is used for data gathering in the Czech Republic, it was not possible to say whether the vaccination coverage de-creases in time. The thesis itself provides an information overview about vaccination which is important from demographic point of view and it also might be an impulse for changing current methodology of data collection.
Economic and Social Statistics from Gender Perspective

Statistical data collection is on high level at this time in European countries including Czech Republic. However, there is still a space for enriching statistics and looking for innovative ways of using obtained data. In context of the governments' efforts to promote equal opportunities for women and men, gender statistics is being addressed. It should serve as a base for detecting a position of women and men in all areas of the society and it should help to evaluate the impact of various actions ex ante as well as ex post. The aim of this diploma thesis is to continue to fulfill the intention to provide an interconnected picture of need for gender statistics in connection with diploma thesis written by Ing. Barbora Stanislavová in 2013. The emphasis is put on adding information on current course of gender studies connected with economy and on describing selected gender statistics indicators. The previous thesis covers general gender equality indicators and labour market area, this diploma thesis concentrates on indicators in family area. Gender statistics description is accompanied by actual data for Czech Republic and other European countries in order to provide illustrative example of use of gender statistics.
