The managers are important persons for easygoing operation of companies. That is why I am concerned with their skills and abilities in this dissertation. Thank to these skills and abilities can managers help companies to come through the market or not. I will try to suggest solution for three managers after analysis of their personalities. This solution can be helpful for development of companies, where they work in.

Factors affecting sleep of patients in selected surgical intensive care units

The Bachelor thesis "Factors influencing sleep in patients attended at selected surgical units of intensive care" is focused on finding the most frequent factors that negatively affect sleep of patients treated at selected surgical units of intensive care in University Hospital of Motol. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of sleep and its disorders, investigation of sleep quality and its treatment. Furthermore, attention is paid to the most common factors affecting sleep. In the empirical part of the thesis, the methodology of data collection, organization of the survey itself and the method of data processing are described. An anonymous questionnaire survey was used to collect the necessary data. The target group of respondents were patients hospitalized at selected surgical units of intensive care at University Hospital of Motol. The public diplomacy and nation branding of small and medium states

In my thesis I will compare the public diplomacy and national branding of the Czech Republic and Switzerland. The goal of the thesis is to define, explore and evaluate these fields for both countries. This paper will focus on identifying different aspects of nation branding in these two countries and will aim to evaluate the strategy and sketch the recommendations. The thesis is divided into 3 parts. In the first part the author defines and describes public diplomacy as general term. The second part is dedicated to the public diplomacy of small and medium states. The last chapter focuses on the comparison of public diplomacy and nation branding of the Czech Republic and lesson that could be learned from Switzerland. The goals of this chapter are as follows. To compare aspects and specifics of these two states and evaluate specific activities developed by governments to improve the perception of their country by the foreign public.

Sociálně ekonomická charakteristika Mexika na přelomu tisíciletí

Jako téma své bakalářské práce jsem si vybrala analýzu sociálně ekonomické situace Mexika na přelomu tisíciletí. V první části této práce nastíním obecnou charakteristiku země, kde se hlavně zaměřím na potenciál Mexika a jeho využití. Ve druhé části provedu rozbor sociálně ekonomické charakteristiky země, a to hlavně díky demografickým ukazatelům a ukazatelům rozvoje. Abych následně v poslední části mohla zvýraznit četné nerovnosti mezi obyvateli země a nastínit problematiku migrace.
