Problematika potravinových alergenů
Dvořáková, Kamila
The causative factors for food-allergic reactions are proteins that are termed allergens. Allergenic proteins usually have high nutritional value for the major part of the population but threaten the health of a subset - the food-allergic consumers. The severity of allergic reactions varies from mild urticaria to potentially fatal anaphylactic shocks. At the moment, the only proven therapy for food allergy is a strict avoidance. This implies that people with a food allergy need to know whether the food products they purchase are indeed free from the ingredient that can trigger an allergic reaction in their body. Labeling of allergens has the potential not only to identify foods that are unsafe for allergic consumers but also to increase the choice of safe food products. Legislators and regulatory agencies have recognized the importance of labeling with regard to protecting the allergic consumer. As a result of this, in many jurisdictions in different parts of the world new legislation specifically aimed at the protection of allergic consumers has been put in place. This legislation has resulted in a mandatory labeling of the 13 most commonly allergenic foods (plus sulfites).
Use of physiotherapy for vertebrogenic difficulties associated with scuba diving
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kamila
This work is about using physiotherapy methods in patients with vertebrogenic difficulties associated with scuba diving. The first goal is to suggest therapy for concrete patients with vertebrogenic difficulties and the second goal is to chart the effects of the therapy performed in concrete patients with vertebrogenic difficulties. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the issue of vertebrogenic difficulties, describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the spine, presents scuba diving and presents the possibilities of using physiotherapy. The practical part consists of four case reports and a description of the proposed therapy. The work is processed in the form of qualitative research. Data collection was performed by the entry and exit examination. The results were based on qualitative analysis of these data. The research group consisted of four probands who spent their free time on scuba diving while suffering from occasional vertebrogenic difficulties. The research took the form of regular meetings, usually held once a week for two months. Therapy results are ambiguous. There were both objective and subjective improvements in two probands. One of the probands did not match the subjective impression with objective results and one of the probands has worsened. Many factors could have affected the results. For example, by an individual approach to therapy, by other sporting activities performed in addition to exercise, or by injuries made during therapy. The theoretical part can be used as a source of information for divers as it highlights the risks of developing vertebrogenic difficulties. The practical part can be beneficial in physiotherapy practice as an exercise unit not only for divers.

This bachelor thesis deals with unemployment and its solution with the help of European Union's funds. I focus on European Social Funds (ESF) and on Operation program Education for Competitiveness (ECOP) in South-Czech region in programming period 2007-2013. I focus on fields of bachelor, masters, graduate and higher technical education. Hypothesis of my work is the question of connection between number of graduates from bachelor, masters, graduate and higher technical education and number of jobs seekers from this groups. Support from ESF is provided for tertiary education. There is an effort to improve, to develop new field of study and to make tertiary education more attractive. Theoretic part deals with problems associated with unemployment and explanation of terms, which are connected with it. The functioning of ESF is explained and the characteristic of programming period 2007-2013 are described. Practical Part in this part I focus on the meeting the main object. This section is devoted to characteristic Operation program Education for Competitiveness (ECOP) in South-Czech region. The disposition of unemployment, the number of job vacancies and graduates of this group are presented there. Thanks to it I can answer if moving of the number of graduates upward is caused by the moving of the number of jobs seekers upward and if graduates find assertion on labour market or are unemployment.
Stress factors affecting operators of emergency call 112 and their prevention at chosen workplaces
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kamila
This thesis is dealing with the issues of stress and stress factors found at the 112 emergency call operators. Citizens call the emergency number 112 in case of notification of an extraordinary situation. However, in some cases the emergency call is being misused. The call is then marked as spiteful. The ECC runs in a 24-hour shift operation and the operators change after a 12-hour shift. Each new operator is accepted in the service based on his knowledge, physical, health and above all psychological examination. He is obliged to attend the entrance training and courses in lenght of overall nine weeks. There he gets to know the issues of FRS CR, operational management and he has to pass a language course as well. It is very psychologically demanding for every operator to receive emergency calls. The operator needs to be able to listen, empathize and react adequatly. He deals with calls concerning accidents, injuries, foreigners and spiteful calls. An operator should recognize its gravity and devote to its resolution. However, he has his own personal life along with its joys and problems. It is vital that he is able to separate issues of his work and those of personal nature. This and many other indicators may cause stress reactions to the operator. Many psychologists have attempted to define stress. Each has, however, a different opinion and it is complicated to reach a an accurate definition. One thing is for sure - and that is stress shows itself in different ways and everyone is affected by it differently. In case of an emergency call operator, the stress factors are mainly time to execute the call, character of the notification, as well as the working group, personal life and emotional challenge. Multiple questions have been formulated for this thesis. Both current and former emergency call operators in Ceske Budejovice have been asked these question, which were then processed. The questions were divided into five fields concerning the interviewees' characteristics, collective and family, prevention a one last field was designated for the former operators. The interviews were anonymous, recorded and summarized. Two objectives were defined for this thesis: an analysis of the stressful situations of the emergency call operators and also of the impulses causing the formation of the stress factors, aw well as drafting a solution to stressful situations, possibility of the psycho-training, motivation and relaxation. The answer to the research question 'Which stress factors restrict the operators while performing service and how do they come into being' was determined from the carried-out interviews. There are situations which can make the operators insecure, such as a suicidal call, or when the call is unintelligible, or in case the incident cannot be correctly and quickly localized. Another problem can be the spiteful calls, in which case the telephone just rings and the caller hangs up right away. Another answer has also been extracted from the respondents: 'Which possibilities to handle stress do the operators have, which way to get rid of stress is satisfactory for them'. In the area of FRS of the South Bohemian Region there is a sports ground for every member to use. They would gladly welcome an opportunity to visit the firefighters's intervention in person. They are interested in psychology education, working with a suicidal call and periodic language courses. There are some proposals and ways to prevent stress of the 112 emergency call operators stated in the conclusion of the thesis. The system of training, possibilities to exchange workplaces, periodic language courses and interviews with the regional psychologist of the FRS of the South Bohemian Region. There are relaxation methods introduced, which would enable the operators to reduce stress and thus prevent illnesses, psychic exhaustion and eventually even a burnout. The results of this thesis can be used for all 112 EECs in the Czech republic.
Mastitis monitoring and factors influencing mammary gland health
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kamila
The thesis explores an issue of mastitis in dairy cows, and factors that influence the health of a mammary gland. In span of 2012-2013, 629 quarter samples of milk were collected, the somatic cells count (SCC) was determined and the results related to the condition of teats base, and also to an order and phase of lactation. The results were compared to the pool samples collected in 2008-2013 (SCC, TBC) and the number and development of clinical mastitis was followed (2012-2013). The condition of teats base was estimated as an important factor contributing to the health of a mammary gland. The lowest SCC was identified in the first phase of lactation, and, contrary to that, the highest SCC was identified in the third phase of lactation (active involution). The order of lactation proved to be an important factor influencing SCC in milk. Dairy cows staying in pasture were shown to have less SCC in milk; it can therefore be concluded that grazing has a positive impact on SCC in milk. In the examined period, very low number of clinical mastitis was determined
Emergency Call Service 112 and its Possibilities in Receiving Emergency Calls from Handicapped Citizens
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kamila
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of calls made by handicapped people (deaf, blind or physically handicapped) to emergency lines, including line 112. According to the European Parliament Directive 2002/22/ES of 7 March 2002 on universal service and users' rights relating to electronic communications networks and services, specifies that each citizen, whether healthy or handicapped has the right to call to emergency line 112 free of charge. This thesis involves a questionnaire based research. Sets of questions focused on handicapped citizens asked whether they had sufficient possibilities to call to emergency lines. The questionnaires were distributed to handicapped citizens in South Bohemia. The aim was to find out whether the efforts of the Fire Rescue Service in the field of reception of emergency calls from handicapped people were sufficient or not and whether these citizens are or will be interested in using the line in the future. The research has shown that handicapped people may communicate with the emergency lines by means of mobile phones like healthy people, provided their handicap does not prevent them from doing that. Blind and sand-blind people do not have problems with telephoning either, mostly from mobile telephones. They might only have a problem with specification of the event location. Deaf and hearing impaired people actually have problems with mobile phone communication, but the Fire Rescue Service of the South Bohemia Region enables them to send SMS, thanks to which they can receive assistance of the same quality as any healthy person in emergency situation occurrence. As for legislation, a new draft Fire Rescue Service Act, which contains the issues of emergency calls from handicapped people, is being consulted at present.
Current methods of prevention and possibilities of treatment of bovine mastitis
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kamila
My bachelor work called Current methods of prevention and possibilities of treatment of bovine mastitis has been created with a view to the fact that mastitis is one of the most economic significant disease of cattle . The prevention of mastitis includes individual measures important for maintaining the health of dairy cows. The basic principle of prevention is to avoid weakening the natural immunity of dairy cows and especially of the mammary gland as such. To maintain healthy mammary glands the welfare of the cows is important. Dairy cows should be properly housed and fed a high quality, harmless food. An important measure is the correct milking procedure. Pasture has a very favourable effect on the health and welfare of dairy cows. An important aspect in the prevention of mastitis is drying off which is often carried out at a flat rate and globally. The use of non-antibiotic cements is a new trend of drying off, only usable in dairy cows with healthy mammary gland. Research in the immunoprophylaxis of mastitis is still ongoing, because the etiology of mastitis is not yet entirely clear. Conventional treatment of mastitis is based on the use of antibiotics during lactation or during the dry period. According to the seriousness of the disease is selected a local or total application or a combination of both. Supplementary treatment is the application of enzymatic preparations which reduce the required dose of antibiotics and accelerate healing. The unconventional treatment of mastitis that is more common on organic farms, is represented by homeopathy and phytotherapy, which are used mostly in mild inflammation of the mammary gland. If therapy should be an effective, early start of treatment is very important.
