Legal regulation of the product placement a its utilization by the czech television
Dráb, Martin ; Benda, Josef (advisor) ; Trampota, Tomáš (referee)
The main aspects of this thesis is the analysis of the legal regulation of the product placement and its utilization by the Czech television. Czech law comes from the Directive 2007/65/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, therefore several chapters are dedicated to secondary law of the European Union. The last part of this thesis includes few ideas about the law de lege ferenda. The second part of this thesis consists of the application of the product placement by the Czech television and there is a comparative analysis with selected television shows from around the world. The comparison is made with the similar shows in regards to their format and style. The result is a recommendation how to apply product placement in the future and kind of mistakes could be prevented.
Extending Java Performance Monitoring Framework with Support for Windows Performance Counters
Dráb, Martin ; Bulej, Lubomír (advisor) ; Kruliš, Martin (referee)
Java Performance Measurement Framework (JPMF) is a library that allows to collect performance data from underlying operating system. The main goal of the framework is to provide a way of performance data measurement regardless of the application under test. This goal sets the framework apart from many ad-hoc performance measurement solutions targeted at specific applications or middleware platforms. Such solutions collect certain performance data at fixed points of the execution of the application under test. The main goal of this thesis is to implement a library that allows to collect performance statistics of various kinds on machines running Microsoft Windows operating system. The library should be integrated into the framework, which extends its portability.
Variant calling using local reference-helped assemblies
Dráb, Martin ; Daněček, Petr (advisor) ; Hoksza, David (referee)
Despite active development during past years, the task of sequencing a genome still remains a challenge. Our current technologies are not able to read the whole genome in one piece. Instead, we shatter the target genome into a large amounts of small pieces that are then sequenced separately. The process of assembling these small pieces together, in order to obtain sequence of the whole genome, is painful and rsource-consuming. Multiple algorithms to solve the assembly problem were developed. This thesis presents yet another assembly algorithm, based on the usage of de Bruijn graphs, and focusing on sequencing short genome regions. The algorithm is compared to well-known solutions in the field. 1

The interventions of the IMF in Argentina
Dráb, Martin ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Zubíček, Milan (referee)
Bachelor thesis Intervention of the International Monetary Fund in Argentina deals with the economic breakdown in 2001 and the role of International Monetary Fund in this event. Political background and economic policy has been analysed for better understanding what exactly eventually led Argentina to bankruptcy. For pragmatic reasons, most attention is devoted to 1990's that are most valuable for confirming the efficiency and motivation of the participation of the International Monetary Fund. Primary evaluation criteria in the thesis are inflation (based on consumer price index), growth of GDP, balance of payments and unemployment. All of the economic indicators are described on the historical background, as well as the political situation during the discussed period of time. Simultaneously, an effort to describe behaviour and development of the International Monetary Fund is manifested in regards to its own motivation, which is consolidation of the government budget and establishing economic development. Last but not least, there is a note about a controversy, which surrounds the whole existence of institution like International Monetary Fund, his agency and role.

Application of acoustic emisssion for thin layer mechanical toughness evaluation
Boháč, Petr ; Tomáštík, Jan ; Koula, V. ; Dráb, M. ; Jastrabík, Lubomír
The thin films are used as a functional coating of components. The limiting factor of their application is the adhesion to substrate. The laboratory method to investigation of their adhesion and mechanical toughness is the scratch test. This method emulates a mechanism of the abrasive wear in a way. Evaluation of the test results is mainly performed by microscopic investigation of deformations and micro cracks in the scratch track. Irreversible deformations, which arise during scratch test generate an acoustic emission (AE). By simultaneous scanning and recording of the increasing depth of penetration with increasing load of the stylus in the nanotester and by this way generated AE (recorded by analyzer)one can obtain data files, which contain a course of the whole experiment including AE.
