Optimalization of public transport in the centre of Pilsen in long term period

This Diplomas thesis is focused on the area of public transport in the centre of Pilsen and its optimization in a long term. In the methodology part are defined basic terms of public transport and theoretical outcomes for urban and suburban public transport systems. Next there is a description of means of transport and methods of preference used in public transport. Shortly is introduced the legal framework of public transport in Czech Republic. The processes of transport management especially the process of planning are described in detail. The last subchapter of the methodology part describes integrated transport systems. The analytical part of the thesis begins with the description of the Pilsen as a regional centre and the analysis of its urban and suburban transport system. The deficits of the system are grouped into problem areas; for each problem area is suggested an optimization: the new bus terminal in Šumavská street near the Pilsen main train station, the interconnection of Borská street with the intersection Karlovarská/Lidická and usage of the north-west bypass by public transport.

Statistical identification of industry clusters potential

The aim of the thesis is to present the process connected with the identification of industrial clusters and to point out possible methods and instruments that are useable by such identification. The target is not only focussed on description of these methods but also on consideration that the methods are likewise useful in regions of Czech Republic, especially taken into account the existing offer of regional data. The diplom thesis consists of three parts. The first part represents theoretical introduction to clusters' problem. The second part, also the theoretical one, deals widely with quantitative and qualitative methods and with procedures and clasification that belong to these methods. The third part applies the theoretical knowledge into practices. The comparison methods are used in the theoretical part and the methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and induction are used in the practical part. The diplom thesis brings a quantitative extension of methods that have been used so far when identifying the industrial clusters in Czech Republic. Due to the present trend of prefering the qualitative methods, the extension of quantitative methods could be seen as a retrograde act. But the conditions of Czech Republic tourned out that, in fact, it is a suitable extension of statistical instruments.

Regionální aspekty makroekonomických ukazatelů

Regionální problematika ve statistice, zvláště pak regionální aspekty makroekonomických ukazatelů sehrávají v posledních deseti letech v Evropské unii stále významnější roli. Existuje mnoho důkazů, že se dnešní agenda EU bez těchto údajů neobejde. Vzhledem k uplatňovaným principům v rámci jednotlivých politik EU roste společenská poptávka po indikátorech, jenž odhalují jednak ?škodlivé? regionální disparity, ale též se snaží pomocí kauzálních analýz upozornit na jejich příčiny a současně vytvářet i předpoklady pro jejich snižování v zaostávajících regionech. V dosavadní praxi se bezesporu za nejdůležitější makroekonomický agregát využívaný pro regionální politiku považuje regionální hrubý domácí produkt (dále RHDP), který se v relativním vyjádření ve vztahu k počtu obyvatel v regionu stal dokonce i kriterialním hlediskem pro přerozdělování podstatné části společného rozpočtu EU. Problematika metodického vymezení RHDP a dalších makroekonomických agregátů na regionální úrovni, společně se zkoumáním možností respektive navržení algoritmů pro odhadnutí jejich výše v rámci České republiky, je stěžejním tématem této předkládané práce. Úvodní kapitola se zabývá rekapitulací existujících norem pro vymezení legislativního a vědního rámce pojmu region. Navíc je zde i zachycena iniciativa ČSÚ související s revizí ?Klasifikace územních jednotek ke statistickým účelům? (La Nomenclatrue des Unités Territoriales Statistiques ? dále NUTS), na které se autor významně podílel ve fázi přípravné i vlastního projednávání s odborníky EUROSTATU. V neposlední řadě jsou v této části uvedeny základní statistické charakteristiky regionů České republiky. Druhá kapitola se zabývá ve zkoncentrované podobě regionální politikou, která v rozhodující míře vytváří rámce potřeby regionálně strukturovaných makroekonomických indikátorů. Třetí kapitola představuje problematiku národního účetnictví ? jeho smysl, cíl, aplikované metody při odhadování makroekonomických agregátů na národní úrovni. Tato kapitola též tvoří koncepční rámec pro regionální účty, kterými se zabývá závěrečná kapitola této práce, která tvoří jádro výzkumu problematiky regionálních aspektů makroekonomických ukazatelů. Tato část práce se zabývá kromě jiného úkoly vyplývající pro statistiku z regionální politiky Společenství, vývojem agendy regionálních účtů a jejího zaměření v podmínkách ČSÚ, aplikovanými algoritmy pro odhadování makroekonomických agregátů za regiony a jejich uplatnění, statistickým metadatovým systémem a v neposlední řadě i kvalitou makro-ekonomických ukazatelů na regionální úrovni.
