Checking the presence of a letter in the mailbox

This thesis contains analysis and development of solutions for checking the presence of a letter in the mailbox. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is an analysis of commercially available solutions on the Czech and foreign markets, followed by an analysis of methods and sensors suitable for letter detection in mailbox. On the basis of the theoretical part, the design concept of the solution and the physical construction of the prototype of the proposed system are described. The work also includes a description of the device's communication with the server and the development of the software. The last part of the text is devoted to the theoretical calculation of power consumption, estimation of the device battery life, testing of the device and suggestions for improvement.
Design of a smart house control system

This bachelor thesis deals with the comprehensive design solution of a smart home using Loxone technology. Through the appropriate implementation of sensors, actuators, and a central control system, a comprehensive solution for home automation processes is proposed. The theoretical part introduces Loxone technology and briefly compares it with the competing ABB free@home technology. The practical section involves the selection of suitable hardware components and the description of control algorithms. The conclusion of the thesis is dedicated to a cost comparison with the competing technology.
Laboratory assignment for microcontroller RP2040

This thesis focuses on the design of laboratory exercises for a course dealing with em- bedded systems and microcontrollers. The exercises were designed for the Raspberry Pi Pico development board with a 32-bit microcontroller from the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The theoretical part describes this development board, the RP2040 microcontroller on which the board is based and the Arm Cortex-M0+ processor with which the RP2040 microcontroller is equipped. A printed circuit board was designed to test the laboratory exercises. The thesis also contains the laboratory assignments and instructions for the students.
Raspberry Pi Pico with Ethernet

This bachelor thesis focuses on the implementation of ethernet communication using microcomputer Raspberry Pi Pico and a physical layer chip. The communication is intended to be bidirectional between the microcomputer and other computer on a local area network (LAN) using the well-known MII interface. Microcomputer uses this network to communicate data which are acquired by distance sensors. A software which is outputting those acquired data to the console is implemented on the second computer. This thesis also focuses on a PCB design itself where individual electronic parts are connected making a functional circuit.
Local Positioning System based on LoRa Devices

The work deals with wireless communication using LoRa (Long Range) technology categorized as LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network). The technology enables wireless data transmission over long distances more than 5 kilometers in urban or rural areas. The technology is used as the communication between ESP32-based devices providing their GPS data and time synchronization. The system also consists of Raspberry Pi which provides the central LoRa station for near area. It is running the LoRaWAN server called ChirpStack. The communication between central and peripheral devices was established using open-source libraries. Moreover, the communication with the public TTN network has been tested. Regarding the communication testing, test scenarios were designed, based on which the corresponding measurements were performed. The results were presented and evaluated.
Wireless dalalogger

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a wireless datalogger. It includes a detailed description of the issues related to wireless transmission using LoRa technology, which was utilized in the implementation. Furthermore, the design of the entire device, consisting of a central logging unit and sensor units, is described. The thesis also covers the hardware and software equipment of the wireless datalogger, including a user desktop application. The outcome of the work is the construction of a functional datalogger enabling the logging of temperature and humidity from wireless sensor modules and measurement of its parameters.
Cable harness tester

This paper is focused on the problematics in testing of cables and wire harnesses. It follows up on a diploma thesis by Ing. Jakub Valenta. This paper consists of analysis of said diploma thesis and points out its shortcomings. Specifications of created protype of cable tester are mentioned in this paper, including its accuracy and suggestions for more accurate measurement of cable harnesses. Utilization of the low power capabilities of NXP microcontrollers

This thesis focuses on the analysis of NXP microcontrollers, their ability to achieve low power consumption when measuring room temperature and humidity. Therefore, the main objective of this thesis is to select a microcontroller and sensor that has the lowest possible power consumption during temperature and humidity measurement, and to develop a software application to achieve this low power consumption.
Quantification of proprioceptive disorders using virtual reality

This thesis explores the development of an application for proprioception analysis utilizing virtual reality and the Unity gaming platform. The application was developed based on a prototype similar in installation but without access to its source codes. Additionally, the application was enhanced with new features such as a black scene, and improvements to existing functionalities, including the addition of realistic models, the creation of a new user interface, and calibration to align virtual objects with their real-world counterparts. Experiments were also designed and conducted to verify the accuracy of device localization using the Oculus Quest 2.
A Hardware Platform for a Promotional Robotic Vehicle

This thesis serves as a feasibility test for the construction of a robotic vehicle, where its autonomous movement will be provided by a camera and QR code scanning, for the company B:TECH. Specifically, it deals with the interaction of the hardware platform of the robotic vehicle together with selected electrical components. It describes the design of the structure printed on a 3D printer and its electrical and mechanical components enabling movement. Furthermore, the work focuses on the selection of suitable electrical components related to the safety of operation in the form of sensors. A necessary part is also the control and coordination of the movement of the vehicle using control microcontrollers. Specific components and equipment are described in the following chapters. The result of the thesis is the creation of a hardware concept of an autonomous robotic vehicle.
