The Behaviour of Players behind Poker Tables
Beránek, Karel ; Hubinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kuncl, Milan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the behaviour of poker players, which can be encountered in the game of poker. In my work I am gradually engaged in non-verbal communication, verbal communication and the ethics of poker players. In the section of non-verbal communication, I analyse individual parts of the body from the most important for reading to the least important. I also deal with psychological effects that can greatly influence the behaviour of the players. In the section of verbal communication, I focus mainly on what verbal communication in poker can serve and how to use this knowledge. In the last part I present the issue of ethical behaviour. In the practical part I use the knowledge from my own research as well as the knowledge of the players who were willing to share with me their knowledge. I also use the analysis of the video which is available on YouTube.

Role of GIT-PIX signaling cassette in cytoskeleton regulation
Beránek, Karel ; Dráber, Pavel (advisor) ; Libusová, Lenka (referee)
4 Abstract The cytoskeleton is a cellular structure comprised of three types of protein filaments called microfilaments, intermediate filaments and microtubules respectively. These filaments are highly dynamic and can change their organisation and properties according to the current needs of a cell. This system of cytoskeletal polymers is regulated by a plethora of interacting proteins, among which belong the GIT proteins. GIT proteins contain a great amount of interaction domains, and they form oligomers which function as a scaffold for the binding of associated proteins. In this way they facilitate specific subcellular localisation of many proteins and their complexes. GIT proteins contain a catalytic ARF-GAP domain that regulates the function of ARF GTPases. GIT proteins interact with PIX proteins. These proteins function as GEFs for Rho GTPases and thus regulate signal transduction influencing the cytoskeleton. GIT and PIX interact with each other by the means of their coiled-coil domains and form complexes called "GIT-PIX signalling cassettes". The cassettes regulates mostly microfilaments during the establishment of cell polarity, formation of membrane protrusions, and in cell motility and adhesion. Results of experiments published in the last few years suggest that the GIT-PIX signalling cassette...

Food and beverage services during social events - catering
Beránek, Karel ; Mlejnková, Lena (advisor) ; Kvítková, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is to clarify the important terms concerning catering. The field of a collective catering services is emphasized. Theoretical approaches to different catering events are explained in detail. Furthermore, the event manager tasks are described. In the second - practical part, there is an analysis of a business of a specific catering company. The business operating system, material and personal management are clarified in this part as well. The analysis of the organised events during a specific period of time that is based on intern materials of the catering company is introduced as well. Some recommendations for development of the company in the future are stated in the final part of the thesis.
