Evolution of Low Cost Airlines

Over the past 20 years, there were several low-cost airlines identified as the most successful airlines in Europe according to the number of transported passengers. Theoretical part of the thesis has several objectives. It is an analysis of the airlines success it selves as well as an analysis of their gradual development in low cost air travel within Europe and description of the low-cost aviation market in Europe in terms of the history and competitiveness. The practical part which is the main objective of the thesis is an overall analysis of the differences in business models of low-cost carriers and the impact of these differences on the development of their economic and operational performance.

Bachelor's thesis is describing the circumstances leading to an emergence of cosmic waste. It describes its basic characteristics and indicates the current number of waste in outer space and also analyzes further increase in the number of objects in the near future. It also deals with ways of measuring an amount of small particles on orbit and analyzes the possibility of cosmic waste disposal which could be realistic in the near and distant future.

Statistics and its Utilization (Abuse) in Gaining Information

Public opinion is formed in couple phases which are linked to each other. However, some specific information or happening, which a given member of society or a given part of population faces, stands every time at the beginning. Constantly increasing opportunities of data gaining, processing and analysing enable a creation of information about various areas of human activities. This information plays a significant role in the process of public-opinion creation. For data analysis, various elements of statistics are used. A thesis deals with the opportunities of utilization of statistics for creation and spreading of information. A theoretical part of the thesis deals with knowledge of public opinion area and statistics. In practical part of the thesis, mostly used methods for intentional or unconscious manipulation with public opinion are presented. The main element of the practical part of the thesis is the formation of a questionnaire survey and the analysis of its data. The cardinal research hypothesis of the thesis is a discovery, if the knowledge of statistic terms affects the ability of respondent to interpret an information message.

Analysis of the Investment Activities of the City of Prague

The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the management of the Capital City of Prague in the years 2009-2010 with emphasis on capital expenditure of the city. The main target of this thesis is to analyse and to evaluate management and investment activity of the City of Prague. The bachelor's thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part defines terms related to organization of public sector in Czech Republic, municipal budgets and methods of appraisal of management of territorial self-government. This theoretical knowledge is subsequently applied in practical part of the bachelor's thesis. At the beginning there is briefly introduced a history and current organization of the Capital City of Prague. Afterwards the bachelor's thesis is focused on analyses of budgets, analyses of capital revenue and expenditure and particular indicators of financial analysis. In conclusion there is evaluated the management of the city and eventually there are the proposals of measures to its improvement.
