Risk Management in the Railway Construction Contracts

The purpose of this master´s thesis is to perform a risk analysis of a specific rail infrastructure building project. In the first part I described the goal of the thesis and the methods used. In the second part I focused on determining notions related to the rail infrastructure - its historical development until the present. I then described specifics of nowadays railway and the standards it makes use of in today´s construction projects. Next I took a closer look at risk management, defined risks, described today´s guidelines and classified the risks based on standards commonly used at present. In the third and final section of the thesis I applied the risk management process to a selected rail infrastructure project.
Life cycle and documentation of student projects

The aim of this work is to describe and compare student projects by time, range, sources, benefits, risks and quality and suggest possible ways of improvement in planning and organizing of these projects. First part of the work introduced theoretical overview in area of project management and the terms used in case study are listed and described. At first, there are described obtained information about specific projects that are the subject of comparison. From this information was analysed the state of use of the project management tools and the life cycle of student projects. This analysis shows information important to following comparison. Then, it was examined which factors positively or negatively influences the planning and organizing of projects. Subsequently, the proposal was drawn up to enhance the positive effects and reduce negative impacts on student projects. As an additional study then came the analysis of students' interest in participating in the Contest of Student Projects organized by the Department of Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Life Sciences in Prague.
The process analysis in the project management in Automotive sphere

The thesis is focused on the analysis of processes in project management in the automotive sphere. After a short introduction of selected company is discribed life cycle of engagement. In the analytical part of thesis is metodically designed procedure for the analysis of ongoing processes in lifecycle of engagement. Qualitative description of the processes is converted into process models in notation BMPN and after are created tables for more detailed processes analysis. Based on the analysis and knowledge of the tools of project management are for the weaknesses of the processes recommended tools for their elimination.
Agile project management in selected company

This work is focused on developing of own proposals and recommendations for future growth of agile approach in selected company, based on description and analysis of existing procedures in this company. There is basic characteristic of selected company, general and specific description in case study after study of theoretical basis. Agile procedures are compared to principles of agile manifesto and Scrum method in conclusion of the case study. There are identified shortcomings of procedures in agile project management of selected company based on this comparison. For mitigation, or elimination of these shortcomings, there are presented and discussed own proposals and recommendations for future growth of agile approach in selected company.
Project Management Implementation in the selected company

The thesis is focused on understanding the current state of project management in selected companies, including proposing their own suggestions and recommendations. Own suggestions and recommendations are directly used in the case study of a real project-an exclusive two-days training for exclusive leaders. The thesis has two parts. In the first part are described the elementary terms of project management. Defined individual phases of the life cycle, described selected project documentation and international standards and methodologies of project management. In the second part is a brief description of the selected company, describes the project lifecycle, including comparisons of the international standards and methodology and evaluation deficiencies. Suggestions and recommendations are used in the case study and in the final discussion are evaluated practical suggestions and recommendations.
Use Multi-criteria Analysis in selected company

The bachelor thesis presents methods of multi-criteria analysis on particular decision problem. The aim of the thesis is to choose the most suitable model of mobile phone for employees of EKOSTAVBY Louny s.r.o. according to its requirements. Thesis consists of two main parts, theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part mentions ideas and methods of multi-criteria analysis in decision-making process. Afterward, methods are applied in practical part on the given case. Among used methods are order method, basic variation method, weighted sum method, TOPSIS method. Results lead to choosing the most suitable model that is advised to purchase by the company.
Evaluation of human resources in teams

Diploma thesis deals with the evaluation team of human resources in team of the coffee chain. Multi-criteria analysis is use in the evaluation. The theoretical part described human resources in general and evaluation of human resources, description of teams and team behavior and description of procedures and methods of multi-criteria analysis. In the practical part is the proposals of the employee evaluation system to identify shortcomings, the proposal for a higher position and then comparing the improvement of individual employees. This evaluation system serves as a support for the existing system of evaluation in this company. Finally, the results is drawn of the evaluation of individual employees.
Analysis of the Agile Project Management in selected IT Company

The thesis focuses on the issue of Agile approach Scrum in IT project management, namely the description and analysis of the current state of Agile approaches in selected company and the subsequent drafting own proposals for improvement of the management of IT projects. A literature background review deals with the basic characteristics and rules of agile approach Scrum. In the practical part of the Thesis is introduced the company Juicymo s.r.o. After a brief description of the company, the current state of agile approach to IT project management is described and analyzed. The thesis primarily described in detail cases in which the management of the company differs from the definitions and rules of Scrum. The thesis also drawn up concrete proposals on how to improve the current state of management of the selected company.
Responsibility of Project Manager in the Project lifecycle in the bank company

The thesis is focused on Project Management issues, specifically on Project lifecycle in the Československá obchodní banka a.s. After a brief introduction of the company, it describes the organizational structure and the existing Project lifecycle, which is applied in the company. This state is analyzed and at the end of each phase there are drawn identified weak points. Based on an analysis and using theoretical knowledge of international standards and methodologies of Project Management is designed an own draft proposal of the Project lifecycle project, including input and output documents, RACI matrix and process model for each stage. After evaluation of the own solution by project managers there is created a set of proposals and other recommendations.
Reengineering of project management processes in selected ICT company

This thesis focuses on project management. The introduction defines the basic concepts of project management and describes the most frequently used project management methodologies focusing on PRINCE2 methodology. The main body of the thesis focuses on processes in the chosen ICT company, more specifically on process reengineering and on the description of related documents. After a brief introduction of the company and its project history the thesis moves on to describe the current project management processes and related documentation in detail. Following this, the processes are re-designed according to the PRINCE2 methodology. Recommendation regarding the processes are given as well as recommendation regarding the appropriate documentation. Drafts of selected documents are made.
