AAS Interpreter for the Testbed Industry 4.0
Chmelař, Luboš ; Baštán, Ondřej
This paper describes an active element of the manufacturing process, the AAS interpreter, which implements elements of distributed control and horizontal integration to help achieve the goals of the Industry 4.0 initiative. For context, the text introduces the testbed for Industry 4.0 within which the AAS interpreter is integrated. Furthermore, the paper focuses mainly on the core functions and processes of the device itself.
Modernization of laboratory equipment and creation of a laboratory task
Medek, Dominik ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of a teaching equipment, that will allow students to experience working with a PLC and its peripherals, as well as connecting the laboratory tasks and the PPA course project. The thesis discusses the PPA course, its laboratory exercises and the project. It lays out the requirements for a new teaching equipment, that is then created. Its potential uses are then evaluated and two laboratory exercises are created for which a possible solution is developed. The work also includes the establishment of a laboratory standard that addresses the uniform connector wiring for all laboratory teaching equipment and PLC panels.
Electronic air rifle range
Šrámek, Dan ; Rusnák, František (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of an electronic air rifle range. It analyzes a part of the hardware that already exists, describes the design and creation of its missing part. This design has been created considering the features of the products available in the market. The nRF24L01 module is used for the communication between the target units and the control unit of the air rifle range. The microcontroller controlling each of the target units is ATMega328p, for the control unit ESP32-S3 has been selected. The development of firmware for both mentioned microcontrollers is also described in the paper. The whole developed firing range system is controlled by a touchscreen HMI from Nextion.
AAS interpreter for testbed I4.0
Chmelař, Luboš ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents an innovative approach to integrating the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) model into an embedded system that is a key part of the Industry 4.0 testbed - Barman. In this context, the AAS interpreter acts as a product agent. The paper begins with a detailed description of the concepts and terminology associated with this topic. This is followed by a detailed analysis of existing and new versions of the universal NFC reader hardware. The main part of the thesis focuses on the design of the AAS model, which is then implemented in the firmware of the microcontroller. This process also included the creation of an OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) server, which was used to thoroughly test the overall system. The results of the testing confirmed the successful implementation and functionality of the system. All theoretical scenarios were run according to the proposed AAS model, confirming the success of this approach. Thus, this work represents a significant contribution in the field of embedded system design in the context of Industry 4.0.
Application for Quality Check System of a Device
Tlustoš, Petr ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the development of an application for a quality control system of electronic devices, which is crucial for ensuring the reliability of electronic devices and reducing unnecessary costs. The application will provide testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using a testing station. It facilitates communication with the test hardware via USB or Bluetooth. The thesis also addresses the capability of uploading and modifying the device firmware and the use of REST API for communication with a cloud database service. It covers the design of test scenarios, definition of requirements and subsequent implementation of the application.
Aquarium control system for smart home
Tatýrek, Marek ; Rusnák, František (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
The semestral thesis is aimed at understanding the issues of procedural management of aquarium in context. The methods of measurement and control of aquarium variables are described. At the same time, the probelmatic of smart home is discussed. In relation to smart home, the Matter protocol, which is the current trend in smart home, is described. The main objective of this work is to survey commercially available solutions and to propose an own solution. One that is reliable, user-friendly and allows easy integration into a smart home environment. This is where the already mentioned Matter protocol is supposed to help. For this purpose, HW will be designed and the corresponding FW will be implemented. The benefit of this work will be to facilitate aquarium management and monitoring for aquarists, easy smart home capable devices expandability, while maintaining maximum environmental quality in the tank.
Manufacturing process optimization
Štěrba, Zdeněk ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis of the production line in terms of overall efficiency. The aim is to define the areas that play a role in the overall efficiency and then devise appropriate solutions to improve them. Emphasis is placed on the analytical analysis method Basic MOST, according to which the normalized time of operators is determined. The next section focuses on analysis to identify weak points in the line that can be optimized to improve efficiency or achieve financial savings. The production line and its analysis is also treated as a discrete event system in Siemens Plant Simulation software, which is also used to design the new workstation. The last point of the work is the design of a digital twin concept in Siemens NX program, which is controlled by a simulated PLC.
MIDI sequencer for a musical instrument
Golian, Dominik ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Music, as the universal language of humanity through which we express emotions, thoughts, experiences, undergoes continuous evolution, also thanks to technological advancement. This work focuses on one of the greatest technological milestones, the creation of MIDI. The scope of this work involves the development of a parallel MIDI system, which will interact with one of the musical instruments, either a metalophone or a mouth organ. The thesis includes the design and implementation of such a device.
Electronic chess
Kočka, Matúš ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on function of capacitive sensors on a printed circuit board and a series of measurements from which it was possible to create a subsequent sensors for the chess board. It also deals with the CoreXY technique, according to which a design of a motion mechanism is made in the Siemens NX program, and its subsequent implementation. The device includes a microcontroller for which software is created to process data from sensors and control stepper motors.
