Title: The Impact of Physical Activity in a Natural Environment on Changes in Current Emotions Objectives: Purpose of this thesis is to determine the impact of physical activity conducted in a natural environment on changes in a person's current emotions. Methods: This is a research thesis. A questionnaire with three questions was used to determine the results. Each participant answered the questionnaire three times: before the physical activity, during, and after its completion. Five respondents participated in the study. Results: The results of the questionnaire indicate that natural environments and physical activity within them can have a positive impact on changes in currently perceived emotions. Title: Comparison of mood changes during physical activity in four different environments Aims: Using a questionnaire survey and the use of the Stroop test to induce cognitive stress during measurement, the aim of this study is to identify and analyse changes in mood during physical activity in four different environments. Methods: The work was based on a comparative analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire survey. The Profile of mood states questionnaire was filled in by the probands during one measurement a total of 4 times, before the Stroop test, immediately after it, after 20minutes of walking and after 40 minutes of walking. Data collection took place in February and March 2024 and 6 respondents, respectively students of the Faculty of Physical Education andSport of Charles University, aged 21 to 25 years, participated in the research. Results: The study shows that natural environments such as forests and watercourses have a positive effect on psychological well-being, reducing negative moods, improving cognitive function and increasing vitality. In contrast, urban environments and laboratory conditions canlead to increased fatigue and decreased mental vitality. Motivation to sport climbing

Title: Motivations of Climbers for Sport Climbing Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to determine what motivates climbers to engage in the activity of sport climbing. Additionally, we investigated the influence of age, gender, and duration of climbing practice on climbers motivation. Methods: The research was conducted through a survey among 78 sport climbers (37 women and 41 men) in the Czech Republic. The survey inquired about various aspects of climbing motivation, such as personal reasons, risk perception, and social factors influencing participation in climbing activities. The survey included a total of 14 closed or semi-closed questions with selectable options. The results were processed using Microsoft Excel and Google Forms. Results: We found that the most common motivations for sport climbing are: overcoming personal limits and fears, the desire for physical improvement, the social aspect-meeting friends and building community, and the climbing activity itself. Furthermore, we discovered that younger climbers tend to seek adventure and excitement more. Older climbers cited being in nature and the climbing activity itself as their main motives. Heart rate variability during walking in the forest and laboratory

Title: Heart rate variability during walking in a forest environment and in a laboratory. Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare the variability of heart rate during walking in a forest and laboratory environment. Methods: In this study, heart rate was monitored using the Garmin HRM Dual chest strap during a 40minute walk in both natural and laboratory environments. The data were processed using Kubios software, enabling detailed analysis of heart rate variability (HRV). The research included HRV indicators such as RMSSD, SNS, and PNS indices, SD1 and SD2 indices, and a stress index, providing information on sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system activity and overall stress levels. This methodology allows for the assessment of organism responses to various stimuli and stressful situations. Results: The average values were as follows: heart rate was 92.5 bpm in the forest and 79 bpm in the laboratory; RMSSD was 21.5 ms in the forest and 34 ms in the laboratory; SD1 was 29 % in the forest and 30 % in the laboratory; SD2 was 71 % in both environments; the stress index was 16.5 in the forest and 10 in the laboratory; the PNS index was -1.835 in the forest and -0.95 in the laboratory; the SNS index was 2.63 in the forest and 0.965 in the laboratory. Effects of natural environments on heart rate variability during walking

Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to assess the effect of natural contrary to laboratory environment on heart rate variability during walking. Methods: Seven students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University completed one visit in a natural and laboratory setting. Participants completed the Stroop test for 10 minutes. This was followed by walking for 40 minutes with active monitoring of heart rate variability using a sports watch and chest belt. Seven indicators of variability were assessed: heart rate, RMSSD (Root Mean Square of Successive Differences), Standard Deviation - SD1 and SD2, stress index, PNS index, SNS index. Data were analyzed in Kubios HRV software, processed, recorded in Excel and plotted in bar graphs. Results: Participant 1's average heart rate was 71 t/min in the laboratory, 87 t/min in the natural environment; Participant 2's was 87 t/min in the laboratory, 92 t/min in the natural environment. Participant 1's mean RMSSD was 53 milliseconds(ms) in the laboratory, 30 ms in the natural environment; Participant 2's was 15 ms in the laboratory, 11 ms in the natural environment. Changes of mood state during walking in blue spaces

Objective: The aim of the work was to analyze how different types of natural environments affect the physical and mental health of individuals. Methods: 7 students of UK FTVS participated in the research. The participants visited the natural environment (blue area) in Prague's Troja and the laboratory in the UK FTVS building. While visiting these environments, they underwent: a 10-minute Stroop test to induce cognitive stress and 40 minutes of walking at a chosen pace. Current mental states and emotions were monitored using the standardized POMS (Profile of Mood State) questionnaire, which was filled in a total of four times during the visit. Results: From the average results of the POMS questionnaire (on a scale of 0-4, 0= not at all, 4= very much), it was obtained that the degree of anger in the laboratory environment was 0.68 and in the blue environment 0.39. Fatigue level 1.17 in lab and 1.19 in water. Depression values in the laboratory 0.67 and in water 0.54. Confusion was 0.88 in the lab versus 0.55 in the blue environment. Title: The effect of previous experience on stress response during adventure activities among FTVS students Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the influence of previous experience on stress response during adventure activities among students of the FTVS. Methods: The study was attended by 100 students from FTVS UK studying for bachelor's or master's studies. The average age of participants was 21 ± 3 years. The probands crossed an obstacle - a tall log at 11 m above the ground for 4 minutes and then crossed the same obstacle on the ground at the same speed. The monitored parameters of the stress response were heart rate (HR), oxygen consumption (VO2), respiratory rate (RR), and ventilation (VE). The participants' experience with the obstacle was assessed using Google Forms. The results were analysed using basic statistical methods. Results: In the group with experience with an obstacle (Z) compared to the group without experience with an obstacle (B), we found the following differences: HR ↑2.1 beats.min-1, VO2 ↓0.2 ml.min-1.kg-1, v DF ↓0.8 breaths.min-1, VE ↓1.6 l.min-1. Title: Collection of Climbing Wall Games for Children Aged 3-6 Aim: To create a collection of climbing games for preschool children based on literature and personal experience. Methods: The collection of climbing games was developed based on personal experience with climbing games and review of French, English, and Czech literature (Baláš et al., 2008; Beroujon et al., 2001; BMC School Activity Cards, 2022; Vomáčko & Boštíková, 2003). Games were selected based on several key criteria. The primary criterion was suitability for children aged 3-6, including their ability to engage and appropriately develop children's skills in this age group. Additionally, consideration was given to the educational value of the games, such as the development of motor skills, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Another criterion was the flexibility to adjust difficulty levels to ensure games could be safely and easily implemented in various settings. Selected games were subsequently modified based on personal experience teaching preschool children climbing. Title: Comparison of the physical fitness of an 18-year-old population with the results of an international biology program Objectives: The aim of the work is to compare the physical fitness of the current 18-year-old male population based on VO2max results with data measured within the framework of the International Biological Program (IPB) in the 1960s and 1970s in the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. Methods: Comparison of the results of two studies. Results: The data obtained from the study carried out in 2023 and the subsequent comparison with the results of the study from 1970 in the framework of the comparison of values of maximum oxygen consumption per kg of weight (VO2max) testify to a significant decrease in the general physical fitness of the 18-year-old male population.
