War Propaganda in Germany and Occupied Countries in years 1939-1945

The topic of this thesis is a German war propaganda during the Second World War, that is from 1st of September 1939 to May 1945, when the Nazi regime was defeated by allied troops. The work is composed of several parts - the definition of propaganda, its brief historical development to 20th century and the advent of modern propaganda and Nazi propaganda until 1939 (with focus on turning points), the propaganda before the war and in its early years and propaganda appearance after defeat became apparent. The thesis also focuses on two central figures of the German war propaganda - Adolf Hitler and the Reich Minister of Propaganda, Dr. Joseph Geobbelse and is trying to assess their impact and role in creating an image of their own army and the enemy.
