Wide area tracking system based on LoRa devices
Holík, David ; Arm, Jakub
The work deals with wireless communication using LoRa (Long Range) technology categorized as LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network). The technoloy enables wireless data transmission over long distances more than 5 kilometers in urban or rural areas. The technology is used as the communication between ESP32-based devices providing their GPS data and time synchronization. The system also consists Raspberry Pi which provides the central LoRa station for near area. The communication between central and peripheral devices was established using open-source libraries. The central device might need to receive packets from surrounding devices concurrently, whichi is not possible using the designed device, thus a protocol needs to be established as discussed. Moreover, the communication with the public TTN network has been tested. Regarding the communication testing, test scenarios were designed.
Integration of Simulator into AAS for Heat Transfer Station
Černocký, Petr ; Arm, Jakub
This work examines the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) in the role of modern management of production units, which is one of the key enablers of the Industry 4.0 phenomenon. The main idea is to connect the simulator with AAS and create a functional architecture that will correspond with the real system. The next step would then be to connect this system with the real one and manage it using this architecture. The open-source program OpenModelica was chosen for the simulation because of its versatile command line use. As an example, a heat transfer system is modeled and simulated. As the results indicate, the OpenModelica simulator takes time to run a simulation that depends on hyperparameters such as samples per interval. Also, submodel for simulation adapter could be templated.
Test benches for microcontroller kits
Žaludek, Ivo ; Arm, Jakub ; Bradáč, Zdeněk
This paper deals with the design of a test bench for modules used in educational labs. The first section outlines the requirements for the tester, followed by a description of the printed circuit board design process. Implementation details of the software are then examined, including a graphical user interface based on Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture that allows for easy result printing. The obtained results are presented, and further work is discussed.
IoT Monitoring system for 3D Printer
Vaculík, Samuel ; Arm, Jakub
This paper consists of the design and implementation of a 3D printing related data collection system. The aim is to define the variables suitable for measurement, then to select suitable sensors for given measurements and implement them on the printer. The next point is the design and implement system for collecting print data from the printing firmware.
Modernization of laboratory equipment and creation of a laboratory task
Medek, Dominik ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of a teaching equipment, that will allow students to experience working with a PLC and its peripherals, as well as connecting the laboratory tasks and the PPA course project. The thesis discusses the PPA course, its laboratory exercises and the project. It lays out the requirements for a new teaching equipment, that is then created. Its potential uses are then evaluated and two laboratory exercises are created for which a possible solution is developed. The work also includes the establishment of a laboratory standard that addresses the uniform connector wiring for all laboratory teaching equipment and PLC panels.
Upgrading the Subsystem for Testing of the Safety Function of a Valve
Němec, Petr ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this work is to develop a theoretical basis for the modernization of the subsystem for testing the valve function, the subsequent design and implementation of the visualization. The thesis briefly describes the steam turbine circulation and bypass technology. Thus, the technology of the system in which the safety function itself is located. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the functional safety analysis and describes the development of three analysis methods FTA, HAZOP and FMEA. The thesis also deals with the analysis and description of an existing application using a state diagram. From the subsequent analysis, the design of a new visualization is realized. The visualization is tested in the thesis using simulation which is performed on a real PLC and also using PLCSIM software.
Demonstration Applications of PLC and Frequency Inverter
Šimco, Viktor ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is devoted to the description of the ACS880-01 frequency converter and the components of the demonstration panel. It includes a description of the frequency converter functions, its parameters, additional elements and safety options. It also briefly describes the asynchronous motor control, communication interfaces and possible add-on modules of the frequency converter. Subsequently, it includes the design of demonstration tasks and documentation of their implementation, SW equipment, visualization and configuration of the individual components.
Local Positioning System based on LoRa Devices
Holík, David ; Burian, František (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The work deals with wireless communication using LoRa (Long Range) technology categorized as LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network). The technology enables wireless data transmission over long distances more than 5 kilometers in urban or rural areas. The technology is used as the communication between ESP32-based devices providing their GPS data and time synchronization. The system also consists of Raspberry Pi which provides the central LoRa station for near area. It is running the LoRaWAN server called ChirpStack. The communication between central and peripheral devices was established using open-source libraries. Moreover, the communication with the public TTN network has been tested. Regarding the communication testing, test scenarios were designed, based on which the corresponding measurements were performed. The results were presented and evaluated.
Data Concentrator of 3D Printer's Sensors and Devices
Vaculík, Samuel ; Rusnák, František (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The bachelor thesis consists of designing and implementing a system for collecting data related to 3D printing. The aim is to define the variables suitable for measurement, select sensors for the measurements and implement them on the printer. The next point is the design and implementation of data acquisition from the printing firmware Klipper for collecting print data. Then the task is to implement the software for processing data from the individual measurement sources, including data flow analysis in the system.
Application for Quality Check System of a Device
Tlustoš, Petr ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the development of an application for a quality control system of electronic devices, which is crucial for ensuring the reliability of electronic devices and reducing unnecessary costs. The application will provide testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using a testing station. It facilitates communication with the test hardware via USB or Bluetooth. The thesis also addresses the capability of uploading and modifying the device firmware and the use of REST API for communication with a cloud database service. It covers the design of test scenarios, definition of requirements and subsequent implementation of the application.
